About Anthony Presti

San Francisco indie alt-rock Singer/Songwriter will hit the road in support of his third record, Existentialism. Recorded in the Mission district of San Francisco at John Vanderslice's Tiny Telephone Studios (Death Cab for Cutie, Spoon), Presti worked with James Riotto (Sean Hayes, The Mountain Goats, Thao Nguyen, Charlie Hunter) behind the helm with an impressive cast of musicians.

"Presti guides us just to the left of the typical singer-songwriter and brings us to his unique voice. He's never flashy; it's just what he does. The unexpected lyrical turns and musical choices are so subtle that if you blink, you might miss it on the first time around."- Adobe and Teardrops

Anthony Presti grew up in Seattle, inspired by an evolving and engaging grunge scene. In his teenage years, he moved to Sonoma County and played in a rock band covering Nirvana songs until they started writing their own material. After several tours and albums, the band dismembered and Presti rediscovered his affinity for acoustic guitar. After a three month backpacking adventure in Europe, he returned with immense inspiration and moved to San Francisco where he has played venues such as Brick and Mortar Music Hall, Hotel Utah, the Fillmore Poster Room and the Napa City Winery and has shared the stage with Gretchen Peters, Little Tybee, The Deer, Tom Corbett and more.
