About An evening with Jordani & the Sun Kings
Neo-soul
Birthed in the recording studio, the band began as a solo recording project of songwriter/producer, Jordani Sarreal. From the touring band of neo-soul artist, Dwele, came the rhythm section: Benji Demps on drums and Noe Rodriguez on bass. Max Watters on guitar was a new addition as well, having played with Jordani in other bands previously (Ethan Tucker, Stephanie Anne Johnson). It was quickly realized that this line-up of musicians was more than a backing band, but a complete package of musical chemistry, drawing inspiration from each member's musical backgrounds. From R&B, Soul, Gospel, Jazz, and Pop, their songs are genre-defying entities that are created purely for the story of the song.
Less than one year into their journey, Jordani & The Sun Kings have toured the West Coast, released a Live Album, and are in the studio recording their first full-length studio album due to be released in 2018.
