The humble study of tap dancing in his hometown ignited Cunningham’s passion for dance, excitement of the moving body, and fierce dedication to creating beyond convention. His commitment to and love of dance led him to say, "Dancing is a spiritual exercise in a physical form." In this presentation, we will explore why this man was so influential in 20th century Modern Dance.
