About Tech Tales: Storytelling Through Engineering
Presented
by Carrie Tzou, Associate Professor, School of
Educational Studies, University of Washington Bothell and Megan Bang, Associate Professor, College of
Education, University of Washington in Seattle
What
do engineering design, programming and science have to do with cultural
history? In the TechTales workshops created by a team of community partners led
by UW Professors Carrie Tzou, Megan Bang and Philip
Bell, parents and children interweave their personal and cultural
histories and stories with robotics and coding. In this talk, you will learn
how these projects encourage families to explore science and engineering
together as they engage with robotics, computer science, coding and e-textiles.
