A Message from McMenamins Hotels

McMenamins hotels are open, with some areas closed due to the recent pause for COVID-19.

Reservations are currently being accepted through our website. We’re still operating on a 48-hour cancellation policy, but remain flexible to your needs.

We are taking special precautions for the safety of our guests and employees. Please be aware of the following before your stay:

  • Restaurants and bars are open for takeout. In Washington, outdoor dining is available with social distancing and other precautions in place.
  • Room service is available, including beer, wine, cider and spirits.
  • In Oregon, beverages are available to take onto the property with you, though alcohol cannot be consumed outside of your guestroom.
  • All hotels’ theaters remain closed.
  • Anderson School Lagoon swimming pool is open – please call to reserve swim time. All other soaking pools are closed.
  • Spas are open for scheduled appointments. Soaking pool is closed.
  • Golf is open at Edgefield and Gearhart.
  • Gift Shops and Bottle Shops are open.
  • Shared spaces in our hotels are open only to hotel guests.
  • Please follow social distancing guidelines on porches, around fire pits and in other public gathering spots.

Precautions at McMenamins Hotels
The health and well-being of our guests and employees is our priority. We are monitoring the COVID-19  situation in all of the communities where McMenamins is located, and we are carefully following State Health Authority, OSHA and CDC guidelines, along with instituting our own health and safety procedures.

Your Hotel Room
In your hotel room all surfaces have been wiped down using a COVID-19 lab-tested cleaner/sanitizer. Some in-room amenities have been removed to maintain high levels of cleanliness. While you are staying with us, daily housekeeping services in guestrooms have been suspended to minimize contact; please call us if you need additional items or fresh linen.

Our Employees

  • Employees receive specific COVID-19 training that covers hand washing, masks, sanitization procedures and distancing
  • Employees are required to wear masks at all times
  • Employees are required to wash hands with soap and water for at least 20 seconds frequently and always before consuming or preparing food
  • Frequently touched surfaces such as handles, key pads and light switches are sanitized hourly
  • Employees wear disposable gloves for cleaning and dispose of after each use, then wash hands after disposing of gloves
  • Employees must refrain from touching their eyes, nose, and mouth. If they do so, they must wash their hands immediately
  • If an employee shows signs of illness or has known exposure to someone with COVID-19, they are instructed to self-isolate
Our Guests
We ask that you help us by respecting COVID-19 procedures for everyone’s safety.
  • Masks are required at all times indoors (except when dining), and outdoors when 6 feet minimum social distancing cannot be maintained
  • Personal growlers can be filled at pubs/restaurants; our staff will sanitize your growler before filling
  • Passport stamping has returned, but in order to maintain safe distances, new protocols are in place
  • Passporters, please check before you go! Some of our bars are closed or functioning with reduced hours. You can only earn stamps when locations are open, and our front desks do not give out stamps for closed locations.
Hotel Gift Shops, Markets and Bottle Shops Are Open
You’re welcome to pick up to-go beer, wine and spirits, along with other fun goods in our shops.
Please help us stay safe by following these precautions:
  • Different locations can allow a different number of people in the shop at a time; you may be asked to wait for someone to exit before you can enter
  • Maintain six feet distance between yourself and others
  • No outside growler fills (personal growler fills available in the pubs)
  • Masks must be worn at all times
