Back in 1905, the St. John's Theater & Pub building was a veritable palace, compact, but nevertheless impressive, with its cupola, pillared portico, colorful flags, and tall, goddess-like statue. It stood just inside the main gate of the Lewis and Clark Exposition, the World's Fair that drew more than two million visitors to Northwest Portland...
