Tiny and terrific!

This pint-sized pub and cellar bar is a tiny window on the world of bustling West Burnside, a fishbowl-like main floor and mezzanine tailor-made to observe the city in motion. Drop by here to enjoy an espresso in the mezzanine, or a bistro-style lunch. During warm weather, sidewalk seating offers a more intimate view, as well as an entrance to the Annex's subterranean bistro.

Downstairs, you'll find what is easily the most unique bar in Portland: the Cellar. Cut off from the light and hubub, the basement bar is a subterranean cave evoking a hideout for the French Resistance. We also host "First Thursday" Art Shows. The Annex is a great stop on the Gallery Walk for Art & refreshments.

McMenamins' pubs are truly places for families and friends, as they have been since 1983. Inside all of our places inspired artwork abounds, and cozy booths and intimate tables for two invite folks of all ages to enjoy great conversation over a hearty meal and the glint of a fresh pint. We produce a whopping 200-plus ales each year which means you'll always have a wide selection to choose from. Classics such as raspberry-tinged Ruby, medium-bodied Hammerhead and dark, strong Terminator Stout are always available. Edgefield wines and spirits round out the choices and, if that wasn't enough, our menus feature classic pub fare with a Northwest kick! Choices range from sensational salads and wonderfully cheesy pastas to generous burgers made with naturally grown, hormone free beef from Oregon Country Beef.
