A school cafeteria like no other!

Open daily for breakfast, lunch and dinner, the rich, mahogany wood, deep booths and truly mesmerizing and eclectic light fixtures of Kennedy School's Courtyard Restaurant invite lingering over any meal. Transformed from the old school's original cafeteria (which itself had a surprisingly good menu), the restaurant replaces the traditional lunch-tray offerings with delicious pub fare, handcrafted ales brewed not ten feet away in the onsite brewery, and tempting weekly specials. On those rare yet gorgeous sunny Portland days, diners move outdoors to the flower-filled courtyard where an impressive mosaic-tiled fireplace keeps watch over the festivities.

The Courtyard Restaurant does not take reservations and all food fights must be very well controlled!

McMenamins' pubs are truly places for families and friends, as they have been since 1983. We produce a whopping 200-plus ales each year which means you'll always have a wide selection to choose from. Edgefield wines and spirits round out the choices and, if that wasn't enough, our menus feature classic pub fare with a Northwest kick including generous burgers made with naturally grown, hormone free beef from Oregon Country Beef.
