This presentation will explore the visual and documentary history of Oregon’s Chemawa Indian School, the oldest federal Indian boarding school still operating in the U.S., and conclude with the screening of a short film made by Chemawa students in 2012 in collaboration with the 1491s, a Native American comedy sketch team.
