About Snack Fest 2014: Snack-Inspired Beers

Taking their inspiration from vending machines, our brewers have created “snack-inspired beers.” Come on by to sample these concoctions:

Creamsicle

Cream ales are light, smooth textured beers. The use of unfermentable milk sugar provides the signature “creamy” goodness. We then infuse the beer with fresh orange zest and whole vanilla bean for that classic creamsicle flavor.

Malts: Pale, Pilsen, Flaked barley
Hops: Sterling

OG: 1.044  TG: 1.008  ABV: 4.64%  IBU: 10  SRM: 4

Buzz Words: Creamy, Citrus, Velvet

Maple Bacon Stout

This “breakfast beer” was inspired by those mouth-watering maple-bacon donuts. What could be better? Adding a some Terminator Stout to the mix, of course.

Malts: Premium 2-row Malt, Munich Malt, 40L Crystal, and Black Barley
Hops: Chinook and Cascade
Other: Bacon extract, Maple syrup, and Maple extract

OG: 1.065  TG: 1.015  ABV: 6.45%  IBU: 30  SRM: 35

Buzz Words: maple, bacon, stout

Nilla Vanilla Ale

Golden ales are light, refreshing beers that are easy drinking and satisfying. We infused this beer with Nilla Vanilla cookies and whole vanilla bean to provide that wonderful Nilla wafer flavor.

Malts: Pale, Pilsen, Flaked barley
Hops: Sterling

OG: 1.044  TG: 1.008  ABV: 4.64%  IBU: 10  SRM: 4

Buzz Words: Snack treat, Vanilla, Delicious

Nutty Buddy

Golden ales are light, refreshing beers that are easy drinking and satisfying. We infused this beer with Nutter Butter cookies to capture that “difficult to translate into beer” peanut flavor.

Malts: Pale, Pilsen, Flaked barley
Hops: Sterling

OG: 1.044  TG: 1.008  ABV: 4.64%  IBU: 10  SRM: 4

Buzz Words: Snack treat, Peanut, Mellow
