About Stone Haven English Brown
There are some styles of beer that just beg to be poured the traditional cask way which is the Firkin. The Stone Haven is a tip of the hat to the folks across the pond and a great beer to have as part of our monthly Firkin Series! This Northern English Brown Ale has a nice amber brown hue and a slight sweet aroma from the specialty malts. A nice tan head entices the drinker to really indulge in the first waft and sip of the quaff. The slightly lower carbonation levels due to being poured on cask allows the medium dry finish to really harbor around the pallet. Caramel and nutty tones reside on the tongue as the mild hop bitterness balances out the drink. One pint of this concoction and you might just believe you are in an old stone built bar, drinking with your neighbors the local brewer’s sweet creation! Cheerio!
Malts: Baird’s Marris Otter Pale, Baird’s Brown, TF & Sons Crystal Malt II and Baird’s Chocolate
Hops: Galena and US Golding
