The sparkle on Ruby's gem is the outdoor, heated soaking pool, open exclusively to overnight hotel guests and those with spa appointments. This freeform oasis, set in private surroundings behind the spa, is filled with soft, buoyant saltwater that's free of chemical treatments and heated to a comfortable 104 degrees.
Take a dip before a treatment, stroll over for an early morning refresher or perhaps unwind in the evening before retiring to one of Edgefield's comfy guestrooms. Forget your swimsuit? Visit Ruby's Spa where a limited number of retro and vintage inspired suits are available for purchase from Popina Swimwear, a local design and manufacturing company in Portland, Oregon.
If you'd enjoy a glass of wine or perhaps a pot of tea during your soak, the tiny Tea House Bar opens up directly onto the soaking pool patio. Hours are seasonal.
Bathing suits are required; locker rooms are provided. Guests must be 18 years old or accompanied by an adult.
