Viognier Reception & Gourmet Syrah Dinner
Friday, April 13, 2012 | 6:30 p.m. reception; 7:30 p.m. dinner
The 11th Annual Celebration of Syrah kicks off on Friday, April 13, with a gourmet reception and multicourse dinner. The reception features locally produced white varietals from the Rhône Valley, including Viognier, Marsanne, Roussanne, and more. Each of these wines is paired with appetizers, creating a welcoming introduction for our 90-plus guests.
Next, the celebration continues onto the dinner, held in the Edgefield Ballroom. Here we showcase locally produced Syrahs, giving our guests the opportunity to enjoy the Northwest's finest wines, paired with delicious fare.

Syrah Barrel Sampling & Lunch with the Winemaker
Saturday, April 14, 2012 | 12 noon–2 p.m.
On Saturday we begin with a Barrel Tasting and Lunch with the Winemaker, an intimate tasting with a select group of guests and winemakers. Guests will have the opportunity to sample wines currently in the barrel, as well as other unreleased gems from local winemakers. This gives the winemakers an opportunity to educate guests on winemaking process and production, while guests learn more about the varietal and the wineries' contributions to the wine culture.

Grand Syrah Tasting & Benefit Silent Auction
Saturday, April 14, 2012 | 4 p.m.–7 p.m.
The final event of the celebration on Saturday afternoon is the Grand Syrah Tasting & Benefit Silent Auction. This highly-anticipated affair features over 40 producers. There is sampling of Syrah and Rhône-style wines, along with a generous spread of Syrah-friendly appetizers. We look forward to expanding tent space to allow for even more wineries to participate.
The ¡SALUD! silent auction is also be held at this time, in conjunction with the Grand Syrah Tasting; past donations have included wine verticals, special winery tours, overnight packages and more.

The Edgefield Hotel also offers special overnight packages both nights, for those who just don't want to leave the party early, starting at $275 per couple, that include lodging in a cozy guestroom, tickets to the Syrah events, breakfast the following morning at the Black Rabbit Restaurant and more.
