Ales on Tap
Enjoy a pint of McMenamins' finest!
Beer available to go at all McMenamins locations.
Local handcrafted beers form our Highland Brewery, Gresham, Oregon, unless otherwise noted. Highland Brewer: Tyler Staples.
Our most popular ale has been tipped to the tartside! Ruby al- ready gives us the refreshment we crave with its light, delicious- ness and a tainting of tartness and sweetness from the raspberries. But, now it’s time to go full throttle for a limited release to show- case the brew’s versatility. The rhubarb stalks have obviously contributed their characteristic sour qualities, and a small earthy note as well. Cheers!
Malts: Premium 2-Row Malt

Sarah's Stupid Green Tea Wheat Ale
A wheat ale for my friends with a low tolerance (and/or mild al- lergy) for hops. We used a small dose of hops for preservative qualities only, and then a dose of Green Tea to aid in both bitter- ing and balancing the brew as well as giving it a light floral char- acter. All told it makes for something both delicious and none too heavy. Enjoy a few pints and cheers to our Highland pubstaff member, Sara, who thought the working title was too funny to give up for a brew-name more polite.

Major Threat DIPA
The latest installment in our double IPA series is a true west coast double IPA. Hops were incorporated in every step of the brewing process from mash to keg. Nuggets were used for bittering and provide a smooth, mellow bitterness. Chinooks, Centennial and Santiam’s were added during the boil to deliver a piney and cit- rusy burst of hop flavor. Then Tettnanger hops were added late in the boil to give a nice noble hop aroma. Finally, a mighty dose of Centennial hops were added during the end of fermentation for a blast of hop aroma. Cheers!

McMurtrey’s Respite 80 Shilling Scottish Ale
(Also available on NITRO tap)
The 80 shilling Scottish Ale is an old, durable style that will satis- fies all pub-goers looking for a brew light on ABV yet full of flavor. We used Scottish Ale yeast to ensure authenticity of the brew, and fermented it with the care and attention of an ancient Pict. Named after our brewer’s Scottish ancestry and his affinity for a good spot to kick up his feet and enjoy a brew this ale defi- nitely lands on the malty side of the brew spectrum with a very restrained dose of hops and a slightly sweet finish. Sla?inte!

Copper Moon has a bit more malt quality and hop character than most other summer seasonals, giving rise to a refreshing, flavor- ful beer style that we like to identify as a Summer Pale Ale. A flavorsome yet summery smooth sweetness is the first thing you’ll taste. The hop flavor and aroma intermingle delightfully to generate a dazzling citrusy, floral and slightly spicy olfactory experience. There’s a Copper Moon risin’ again this summer across McMenamins, make sure that you check it out.

A classic Northwest pale ale and McMenamins top selling beer. This rich chestnut colored gem is a model of harmony between hops and malted barley. Hammerhead's signature Cascade hop nose and intense hopped flavor blend nicely with the caramel tones from the crystal malt. This beer has a vocal following. To run out is an unforgivable sin.

Black as the darkest night, rich as the most decadent dessert, Terminator is for the true stout lover. This is a full bodied and flavor packed ale which draws its robust complexity from kiln-baked specialty grains. Look for a wide array of toasted, chocolate, nutty and coffee-like flavors in every pint! The devoted swear by it, and it remains one of our top selling beers!

One of our most popular standards, we still make Ruby with the same aims we had when brewing the first batch back in March 1986: To create an ale light, crisp and refreshingly fruity. Great Western Premium 2-row and 42 pounds of Oregon-grown and processed raspberry puree is used to craft every colorful batch. Simple but delicious.

HARD CIDERS ON TAP
Edgefield Hard Cider
Pale yellow gold in color, Edgefield Hard Cider has aromas of fresh apple, apple skin, and apple pie spices. Lively on the tongue, fresh apple flavor dominates with hints of pear and honey. Crisp and refreshing, the sweetness in this semi-sweet cider is balanced out by the tartness.
Edgefield Hard Cherry Cider
The apples pressed off for fermentation were a blend of Red Delicious, Golden Delicious (added for color), Granny Smith (for acidity), and Fuji, Galas, and Honey Crisp (to increase sweetness). The fermented hard cider is then infused or fin-ished with Black Cherry juice.
