Created back in the day and many many years ago at the Thompson house by Chris Oslin, Pole-Ax is a great hoppy dark ambered ale. Nice caramel notes followed by a great Chinook and Cascade hop profile this ale is sure to please. If you are a Hammerhead drinker this is a great notch up to try on your palate.

Just in time for the holidays, the busy-as-elves McMenamins brewers have created another wonderful gift for your taste buds this holiday season. The 2012 version of Kris Kringle is a hearty and robust ale with a big and bold malt complexity as well as an intense and flavorful hop profile. This “winter warmer” highlights the rich, toasty, aromatic and chocolaty malt flavors as its very sturdy foundation. Generous amounts of four different hop varieties were added in five different additions, which delivers a magnificent and massive hop assault. L’il Monster Pumpkin Ale

Deep, dark, thick and rich: beware the Black Hole. Gravitational forces and a rotating mash paddle work to concentrate this great mass of beer atoms into a glass of beer so strong and so dark that not even light can escape. The Black Hole is an Imperial Stout weighing in at a massive 7.61% alcohol by volume. The Parson Brown is a Winter Warmer style brown ale that lets you enjoy the Wonderland that winter can be. If this time of year resonates with you, the wonder which is winter, grab a pint of Parson Brown and stroll around savoring the experience of winter. Full malt flavors with touches of toffee and nuts (chestnuts on an open fire perhaps?) will please the palate. Yet unlike most brown ales the Parson has a hoppier kick. Floral, citrus hop flavor combine with earthy, mild aromas that leave a slight bitterness that dissipates quickly on the tongue as the pleasing malts come back for more. Red Riser IRA
To celebrate the late winter months, McMenamins brewers have hand-crafted a delightful India Red Ale. At the time of year when it can be cold and bleak outside, Red Riser IRA peeks over the mountain tops to bring warmth and remind us that Spring is just around the corner. While waiting for Spring to arrive, Red Riser IRA will warm your soul and invigorate your taste buds. Made from the finest malted barley, along with some rye malt, this red giant is generously hopped with a heavenly blend of aromatic hop varieties. The glorious garnet hue illuminates the way to a wonderfully complex blend of malt flavors.
