McMenamins Irish Stout

McMenamins Irish Stout (on Nitro tap)
Our Irish Stout is made as traditionally as possible with our own little twist. It is a very dark, ebony-colored stout with a thick, creamy and long-lasting head. The flavor is a fantastic fusion of coffee-like roasted barley bitterness and semi-sweet chocolate. Moderate hop bitterness balances pleasingly with this hearty backbone, while tiny nitrogen bubbles enhance the sensation on your taste buds with a smooth, silky creaminess.

Get Low Golden Ale
When it comes to craft beers we brewers have a tendency to get carried away with gigantic, ambitious brews. We forget that sometimes you just want a nice easy sippin' Golden Ale. Low on color, low on bitterness, lower on alcohol, and low on threat to offend your palate here's a crisp, refreshing pint to treat yourself with a few times over. Cheers!

Copper Moon
Copper Moon has a bit more malt quality and hop character than most other summer seasonals, giving rise to a refreshing, flavorful beer style that we like to identify as a Summer Pale Ale. A flavorsome yet summery smooth sweetness is the first thing you'll taste. The hop flavor and aroma intermingle delightfully to generate a dazzling citrusy, floral and slightly spicy olfactory experience. There's a Copper Moon risin' again this summer across McMenamins, make sure that you check it out.

Bittersweet Street IPA
An American IPA with tangerine and grapefruit citrus notes, and an added depth of light maltiness to boot. A higher finishing gravity leaves a little residual sweetness just before the refined American hop bitterness slides over for the finish. This is a great pint to raise in cheers to the bittersweet paths in life we must walk moving on to great things; but, that includes leaving a wonderful place full of people that we love and are endlessly indebted to. Green Tea Wheat Ale
A wheat ale for my friends with a low tolerance (and/or mild allergy) for hops. We used a small dose of hops for preservative qualities only, and then a dose of Green Tea to aid in both bittering and balancing the brew as well as giving it a light floral character. All told it makes for something both delicious and none too heavy. Enjoy a few pints and cheers to our Highland pubstaff member, Sara, who thought the working title was too funny to give up for a brew-name more polite.

McMurtrey's Respite 80 Shilling Scottish Ale
The 80 shilling Scottish Ale is an old, durable style that will satisfies all pub-goers looking for a brew light on ABV yet full of flavor. We used Scottish Ale yeast to ensure authenticity of the brew, and fermented it with the care and attention of an ancient Pict. Named after our brewer's Scottish ancestry and his affinity for a good spot to kick up his feet and enjoy a brew this ale definitely lands on the malty side of the brew spectrum with a very restrained dose of hops and a slightly sweet finish. Sláinte!

Black n' Blue
Just in time for the summer months, McMenamins Edgefield Brewery is offering up another fruit beer. This simple, yet refreshing brew is made with locally sourced Blackberry and Blueberry puree. So, just sit back and enjoy the "fruits" of our labor.

A classic northwest pale ale and McMenamins top selling beer. This rich chestnut colored gem is a model of harmony between hops and malted barley.

Terminator Stout
This full bodied and flavor packed ale draws its robust complexity from kiln-baked specialty grains. Look for a wide array of toasted, chocolate, nutty, and coffee like flavors.

Hard Cider

Edgefield Hard Cider
Locally grown Red and Golden Delicious, Granny Smith, Fuji, Gala, and Honey Crisp apples are made into this crisp refreshing cider.

Seasonal Cider: Black Cherry Cider
The apples pressed off for fermentation were a blend of Red Delicious, Golden Delicious (added for color), Granny Smith (for acidity), and Fuji, Galas, and Honey Crisp (to increase sweetness). The fermented hard cider is then infused or finished with Black Cherry juice.

Cider Sampler
Featuring McMenamins Edgefield Hard Cider, McMenamins Seasonal Cider, and four Guest Ciders.McMenamins has been crafting hard cider to serve in our pubs since 1992, offering clean, crisp flavors that highlight the bounty of the Pacific Northwest. Using quality juices pressed from neighboring orchards in the Columbia River Gorge, we craft this gluten-free cider year-round at Edgefield Winery. The apples pressed off for our cider are primarily a blend of Red Delicious, Golden Delicious (added for color), Granny Smith (for acidity), and Fuji, Galas, and Honeycrisp (to increase sweetness). All of our ciders are lightly carbonated, just under 7% ABV and made with gluten-free ingredients.

The freshly pressed juice arrives at the Edgefield Winery, where it is pumped into temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks. Employing a cool fermentation to maintain as much of the fresh apple aroma as possible, we ferment the cider until it is completely dry. A bit of fresh-pressed apple juice is then blended back into the hard cider for some sweetness and to balance the acidity. We keg the cider with some CO2 spritz, and send it off to all of our locations to enjoy!

American-Style Pale Ale uses Centennial, Citra, Simcoe and Mosaic hops to give a fresh citrus aroma, with hints of grapefruit and pine.

Terminal Gravity Eagle Cap IPA by Terminal Gravity (6 pint)
Pale copper in color, but big in body and flavor with a heady hop character. The IPA uses spring water and snow melt from high in the Eagle Cap Wilderness. Terminal Gravity used over 50% Marris Otter pale ale malt imported from the British Isles for a traditional British flavor. It adds several other malts from the Northwest and Europe. TG IPA has over 2 pounds of hops per barrel, finishing with British Fuggles for that classic aroma.
