Thundercone Fresh Hop Ale
Fresh (or wet) Cascade hops were frantically delivered straight from the hop fields to every McMenamins Brewery and each batch of Thundercone Fresh Hop Ale was brewed within hours of the hops being picked off of the vine. The resulting beer is an absolute fresh hop showcase. This beer starts with a smooth foundation and just a slight maltiness. The real star of this show is the fresh hops used for both flavoring and aroma. Five pounds of fresh Brewers Gold hops per barrel were added in three different additions in every batch. These fresh Brewers Gold hops overwhelm Thundercone Fresh Hop Ale with an earthy, raw hop decadence that can only come from fresh hops. It is a greener and more unadulterated flavor and aroma than comes from dried hops. The blackcurrant, fruity and spicy notes usually associated with Brewers Gold hops are still present but with an amazing fresh hop funkiness added into the mix. This beer is so refreshing and hop-filled that you may think you are dreaming but Thundercone Fresh Hop Ale is in reality a short lived dream come true.

On Nitro Tap:
McMenamins Irish Stout
This is our Halfway to Saint Patrick’s Day Seasonal and will pour exclusively on our nitro taps for the occasion. McMenamins Irish Stout is our interpretation of the internationally renowned beer style that originated in Ireland. McMenamins Irish Stout is made as traditionally as possible with our own little twist. It is a very dark, ebony-colored stout with a thick, creamy and long-lasting head. The flavor is a fantastic fusion of coffee-like roasted barley bitterness and semi-sweet chocolate. A moderate hop bitterness balances pleasingly with this hearty backbone, while tiny nitrogen bubbles enhance the sensation on your taste buds with a smooth, silky creaminess. One sip will have your head in the Emerald Isle clouds. A touch of the Irish, the blessings of St. Patrick and a pint of McMenamins Irish Stout to you!

Fresh off the hop bine from the Land of Umpqua, Hopqua is an IPA brewed with nearly 6 pounds per barrel of fresh homegrown hops, grown, picked and donated by several of our generous patrons at the Roseburg Station. Pale in color, with a substantial malt backbone from a variety of barley malts, rye malt and flaked barley, Hopqua has a big fresh hop flavor and aroma. Commercially grown Horizon and Chinook hops were used for bittering, Mosaic for flavor and fresh homegrown hops were added late in the boil to add fresh hop flavor and aroma. Another addition after the end of the boil contributes to the fresh hop aroma. All in all 35 pounds of fresh homegrown hops were used to brew this batch of beer. So welcome the change of seasons and celebrate the harvest with a pint of Hopqua and savor the flavor of the Land of Umpqua.

Edgefield Hard Apple Cider
Locally grown apples are juiced and fermented into a light, crisp and refreshing hard cider.
Edgefield Blackberry Hard Apple Cider
We are happy to announce the release of a new seasonal cider – Blackberry! What says “late summer” in the Pacific Northwest more than the scrumptious taste of wild blackberries?? Utilizing two iconic Northwest fruits – apples and blackberries – we have crafted this delicious new seasonal cider bringing together the crisp bite of the apple with the overt fruitiness of the blackberry. Dark garnet in color, the aromas of fresh blackberries burst from the glass. The slightly tannic and tart blackberry component is balanced out by a small amount of residual sugar, while the fermented apple rounds out the mid-palate and finish.
