Hammerhead - A classic Northwest pale ale and McMenamins top selling beer. This rich chestnut colored gem is a model of harmony between hops and malted barley. Hammerhead's signature Cascade hop nose and intense hopped flavor blend nicely with the caramel tones from the crystal malt. This beer has a vocal following, to run out is an unforgivable sin.

Ruby - One of our most popular standards, we still make Ruby with the same aims we had when brewing the first batch back in March 1986: To create an ale light, crisp and refreshingly fruity. Great Western Premium 2-row and 252 pounds of Oregon-grown and processed raspberry puree is used to craft every colorful batch. Simple yet delicious, taste the original!

Terminator Stout - Black as the darkest night, rich as the most decadent dessert, Terminator is for the true stout lover. This is a full bodied and flavor packed ale which draws its robust complexity from kiln-baked specialty grains. Look for a wide array of toasted, chocolate, nutty and coffee-like flavors in every pint! The devoted swear by it, and it remains one of our top selling ales year after year.

Bagdad Ale - Bagdad Ale is a benchmark beer for McMenamins.  Inspired by the Pilsner style, our Bagdad Ale is one for the lager lovers. Its fine hop aroma and crisp, light finish makes this a great ale for hot weather. It has become a favorite at McMenamins Bagdad Theater in Portland.

On Nitro Tap:
1817 Scotch Ale -
1817 refers to a good year – excepting the occasional typhus outbreak in Auld Reekie (Edinburgh) – and how many pounds of grain we used to make this bonnie ale. Your pint begins with aromas of caramel, smoked malt, and chocolate, and continues with the taste of semi-sweet caramel. The mellow, smoked peat finish is the perfect complement to a cloudy Northwest day spent by the fire.

Black Rabbit Porter - Black Rabbit Porter is a semi-sweet ale with a roasty chocolate malt profile. This ale is defined by toasted nut flavors and a sweeter, softer finish than McMenamins' Terminator Stout. Named after the elusive Black Rabbit who roamed freely on the grounds of the Edgefield Manor, this ale has been an Edgefield staple for years.

Kris Kringle - Just in time for the holidays, the busy-as-elves McMenamins brewers have created another wonderful gift for your taste buds this holiday season. The 2012 version of Kris Kringle is a hearty and robust ale with a big and bold malt complexity as well as an intense and flavorful hop profile. This "winter warmer" highlights the rich, toasty, aromatic and chocolaty malt flavors as its very sturdy foundation. Generous amounts of four different hop varieties were added in five different additions, which delivers a magnificent and massive hop assault. McMenamins brewers hope you enjoy this years' version of our old Holiday favorite, Kris Kringle. Happy Holidays and a Wonderful New Year!

Sleepy Hollow Nut Brown - Time has slipped by again and we are confronted with a myriad of changes in the season of autumn. It's the time of year to start savoring the potion of your choice to warm the bones and soothe the soul. And one can't think of anything better than the McMenamins classic seasonal brew, Sleepy Hollow Nut Brown. This longtime favorite has a chestnut color and medium body that will cast an otherworldly spell over you. The complex malt character, well balanced with Chinook and US Golding hops, will have you walking in a continual reverie. Legend has it that Ichabod Crane downed a few Nut Brown Ales listening to local ghost tales and scary legends at the Van Tassel merry-making party before his fateful trip home. Be watchful and clear-headed on your way home lest you begin to grow fanciful, see shapes and shadows in the night and hear things in the howling wind. It may just be your imagination running away with you or it very well may be the Headless Horseman on his fire-breathing black stallion following you!

Blacklist CDA - What do we have here? Stout IPA? India Black Ale? Black IPA? NO! It's a Cascadian Dark Ale crafted by the witty brewers of Edgefield. Brewed with premium British malt, and dark wheat malt, this brew is roasty! A healthy dosing of high-alpha hops assures that the classic bitterness of an IPA will also shine through. Grab yourself a pint and enjoy the dark days of winter.

: GWM Premium 2-Row, Baird's British Maris Otter, GWM C120, Briess Midnight Wheat, Baird's Chocolate.
Hops:
Galena, Delta, Cascade.

Buzz words:
Bitter, Hoppy, Dark, Beer.

Better Late Than Never IPA - This citrusy delight of an IPA's name is derived from the brewers' decision to hop big, and hop late. Just a hair over 1% of this beer's massive hop bill-which came in at over 2 pounds per barrel-was added before the 30 minute mark of the brew. This translates in to a light amber ale with excellent hop flavor that doesn't have a ton of over-bearing bitterness. So if you like your IPA to be more than a tongue-searing bitter bomb, you'd better be early on this one or you may never get another chance.
Malts:
Premium Two-Row, Vienna, Wheat, Crystal 40L
Hops:
Zeus, Cascade, Chinook, Delta
OG:
1.067  TG: 1.015  ABV: 6.71%  IBU: 74  SRM: 7
Buzz words:
Hop-forward, Grapefruit, Citrus

Unicorn Tears Wheat - Everyone knows that a Unicorn's favorite afternoon snack is wheat. So it is no wonder that whenever they shed a tear it has a higher proportion of wheat than the average emotional outburst. This magical elixir pours a deep orange with a fluffy head that lasts. Place the glass to your nose and notice the floral, peppery hop presence that can only be given off by the finest Santiam hops. Faint wisps of wheat flood the senses before tasting the enchanted liquid. The floral hop bitterness fades into earthy wheat presence after every gulp, swig, and swallow. Extend your lifespan a few years with a pint of Unicorn Tears.
Malts
: Northwest Pale Malt, Briess Red Wheat
Hops:
Santiam
OG:
1.047   TG: 1.010   ABV: 4.77%   IBU: 23   SRM: 4
Buzz words:
Session, Wheat, Elixir, Magical

Barrelhead - We took Hammerhead, McMenamins classic Northwest pale ale and top selling beer, and stashed it away in some of the Edgefield Distillery's Hogshead Whiskey barrels. After careful blending and evaluation, we've decided it's time for this rich, chestnut colored gem to make its transformation known. During its months in barrels, this beer has picked up a little bit of everything one might expect from oak-aging. It's a little lighter-bodied than the original, but loaded with new complexities ranging from faint whisps of whiskey flavor to a sweet mellowness from the oak, and even a touch of pleasant tartness. This beauty is truly a one of a kind experience that is a must-taste for seasoned Hammerhead fans.
Malts:
Premium 2-row Malt and 75L Crystal Malt
Hops: Cascade
OG:
1.056  TG 1.010  ABV: 5.93%  IBU: 44 SRM: 11
Buzz Words:
Barrel-aged, Rare, Complex

The Recluse - This dark, tart, and slightly fruity beer has been lurking in one of Edgefield Distillery's Three Rocks Rum barrels for months now. What was once Black Widow Porter has been transformed by an addition of blackberry puree and infused with complex flavors of dark, sour fruit, faint whisps of molasses, vanilla, and deep, tucked away hints of American oak. In comparison to the Widow, the Recluse is lighter bodied and lighter colored, but this arachnid packs an intoxicating bite that will surely have your tastebuds ensnared.
