Just in time for the holidays, the busy-as-elves McMenamins brewers have created another wonderful gift for your taste buds this holiday season. The 2013 version of Kris Kringle is a hearty and robust ale with a big and bold malt complexity as well as an intense and flavorful hop profile. This “winter warmer” highlights the rich, toasty, aromatic and chocolaty malt flavors as its very sturdy foundation. Generous amounts of four different hop varieties were added in five different additions, which delivers a magnificent and massive hop assault. McMenamins brewers hope you enjoy this years’ version of our old Holiday favorite, Kris Kringle. Happy Holidays and a Wonderful New Year!

Homesteader’s Pre-Prohibition Lager
The Homesteader is a tribute to those that came before us in the history of brewing. A popular lager made before Prohibition wiped out many small community breweries. The Homesteader’s Lager is mild in body and mouth feel. An easy malt flavor of chewy bread gives this a well-rounded experience. A slight hop bitterness and flavor reminds you of the time when a beer was smooth and refreshing. Using a Pilsen lager yeast for this concoction lets the beer finish with crisp and appealing roll on the palate. No wonder many breweries relied on this style of lager time and time again. Look back in your books (especially ones about Central Oregon Brewing) and you’ll see how this style was a stepping stone to the craft beer sensation!

Jack’s Pumpkin Dunkelweizen
The Dunkelweizen is a best described as a dark wheat beer popular in Germany for its nutritional value. Here at the Old St Francis School Brewery we’ve decided to put a spin on this style with a plethora of roasted pumpkin added to the mash and kettle. A deep amber-orange hue gives this special beer a wonderful look. Aroma of cinnamon and clove heighten this festive drink as well as easy malt chewiness that allows the beer to roll around your palette. So grab a pint of Jack’s Pumpkin Dunkel and enjoy the coming of Autumn!!

Old St. Francis School Belgian Dubbel
(High Gravity)
The Old St Francis School is in the mood to celebrate!! We have reached our 10 year Anniversary here in Bend and along with that we have brewed our 2000th batch of beer also here at the OSF! To really celebrate these accomplishments the brewery decided to create a style of beer that is not always celebrated as it should. The Belgian Dubbel is a wonderful beer that has roots in the breweries of monks along with Trappists and Flemish ales. We used an Abbey yeast strain that lends the deep ester (fruity) flavors that meld well with the malt sweetness. A rich and complex flavor makes this a must have as a pint. A slight alcohol warmth delivers the finish of the drink due to its higher ABV%. Definitely a drink to enjoy with a merry occasion as well with a plethora of friends and family like yourself!! Cheers to 10 great years of Old St Francis School McMenamins!!!

Caped Crusader Robust Porter

As darker nights descend onto our city, there is one beer that can save your palate from its thirst. Caped Crusader Robust Porter comes in with a BAM and helps your taste buds enjoy the longer nights. Bolder in flavor than your “regular guy” porter, this Robust Porter has all that you need. Deep malt characters with hints of coffee and chocolate. A mellow finish gives you the signal that this quaff is something to savor for the night.

The Guardian IPA
The Guardian IPA is an IPA that insures that your taste buds are well taken care of. A full variety of hops give an easy bitterness melded together with floral, pine and citrus tones of hop flavor. A medium malt body allows the hop flavor to really punctuate itself during the drink. Come grab a pint of the Guardian and feel safer with an abundance of hops on your palate!!

Harold’s Ax Double IPA
(High Gravity)
If you had the chance to taste Harry’s Hatchet IPA then you can guess what happens when Harry grows up a bit. He is called Harold and his hatchet is replaced with a bigger and sharper ax! Just as this double IPA is bigger and sharper than the base IPA is was derived from. The drink has a full malt flavor with a fantastic aroma of sweetness. It is definitely hoppy with pine bitterness and floral tones. It finishes with a slight dryness and lingering bitterness. If you have an affinity for those IPAs that grow up a bit then Harold’s Ax Double IPA is for you.
Malts: GWM Pale, GWM Pilsen, GWM Vienna, Briess Victory and Franco Belges Caramel Munich 40L
Hops: Zeus, Nugget, Chinook, Brewer’s Gold, Centennial and Santiam Dry Hopped: Zythos

Minstrel’s Pale
There are times when you want a beer to dance and sing on your palate. Or at least make you sit back, smile and enjoy the show. With the Minstrel’s Pale you can do just that. A mellow malt body and mouth feel really allow the easy going hop flavor to sing its song. This song consists of fruity and citrus tones with a mild lingering bitterness. A great drink to sit and people watch or to sip and enjoy with your favorite song!

Wildflower Wheat
This American Wheat ale has all the basics for a great tasting wheat beer. Clean crisp body and a mellow hop flavor with a touch of malt chewiness. To put a unique twist on this beer we added Wild Chamomile flowers to enhance the flowery aromatics and herbal flavor. This enhances the overall mellow sensation that a wheat beer can be about. A wonderful combination to a sipping wheat beer!!

Hammerhead
A classic Northwest pale ale. This rich chestnut colored gem is a model of harmony between hops and malted barley. Hammerhead's signature Cascade hop nose and intense hopped flavor blend nicely with the caramel tones from the crystal malt.

Ruby AleRuby
One of our most popular standards, we still make Ruby with the same aims we had when brewing the first batch back in March 1986: To create an ale light, crisp and refreshingly fruity. Great Western Premium 2-row and 42 pounds of Oregon-grown and processed raspberry puree is used to craft every colorful batch.

Terminator Stout
Black as the darkest night, rich as the most decadent dessert, Terminator is for the true stout lover. This is a full bodied and flavor packed ale which draws its robust complexity from kiln-baked specialty grains. Look for a wide array of toasted, chocolate, nutty and coffee-like flavors in every pint! The devoted swear by it, and it remains one of our top selling ales year after year.

Locally grown apples are juiced and fermented into a light, crisp and refreshing hard cider.
ABV: 6.8%

Edgefield Spiced Hard Cider
A subtle addition of winter spices rounds out this years journey into the evolving world of McMenamins seasonal ciders. A harmonious infusion of dried sweet orange peel, whole vanilla beans, cloves, allspice, cinnamon, nutmeg, fresh lemon zest, and a hint of ginger brings a seasonal flair to a base of freshly fermented apple juice.
