Michael “Curly” White
Just in time for the holidays, the busy-as-elves McMenamins brewers have created another wonderful gift for your taste buds this holiday season. The 2013 version of Kris Kringle is a hearty and robust ale with a big and bold malt complexity as well as an intense and flavorful hop profile. This “winter warmer” highlights the rich, toasty, aromatic and chocolaty malt flavors as its very sturdy foundation. Generous amounts of four different hop varieties were added in five different additions, which delivers a magnificent and massive hop assault. McMenamins brewers hope you enjoy this years’ version of our old Holiday favorite, Kris Kringle. Happy Holidays and a Wonderful New Year!

Ultra Sonic IPA
The Ultra Sonic IPA implores a couple of new hops from the new 2013 crop. Horizons and Ultra hops were used in big abundance to create a floral and hoppy presence to this IPA. A mild malt body exists yet it is the hops that tend to take the lead with this brew. A mellow finish to the drink then allows a piney finish of bitterness yet doesn’t linger too long. An IPA for those looking for an Ultra Hop experience.

Sleepy Hollow Nut Brown
Time has slipped by again and we are confronted with a myriad of changes in the season of autumn. It’s the time of year to start savoring the potion of your choice to warm the bones and soothe the soul. And one can’t think of anything better than the McMenamins classic seasonal brew, Sleepy Hollow Nut Brown. This longtime favorite has a chestnut color and medium body that will cast an otherworldly spell over you. The complex malt character, well balanced with Chinook and US Golding hops, will have you walking in a continual reverie. Legend has it that Ichabod Crane downed a few Nut Brown Ales listening to local ghost tales and scary legends at the Van Tassel merry-making party before his fateful trip home. Be watchful and clear-headed on your way home lest you begin to grow fanciful, see shapes and shadows in the night and hear things in the howling wind. It may just be your imagination running away with you or it very well may be the Headless Horseman on his fire-breathing black stallion following you!

Strong Side ESB
The Strong Side ESB is a testament to all those folks who are leaned on day in and day out to work harder than expected! Always projecting their “strong side” so all may succeed. A hint of floral hops meld with malty sweetness in the aroma. A medium body with an up front malt complex of biscuit and toast puts its foot forward. A mild and earthy hop presence then takes over the palate and resides for just a bit just before it strolls away. A touch of bitterness stays with a drier finish and has your tongue asking for more!
