Black Widow Porter

Black Widow
Originally created at the Thompson Brewery over 20 years ago on October 15, 1991 and made once a year by all Thompson Brewers to come after that, Black Widow has become an expected and welcome Halloween treat at the Thompson Public House in Salem. Black Widow’s web envelops the entire company every year now. Each deep-black goblet of Black Widow is packed full of the robust notes afforded by generous amounts of black and roast malts and further spirited with ethereal wisps of caramel and licorice. Both substantial and sublime, this elixir is sure to slake the most fiendish of thirsts. Open up a creaking pub door, find a seat with friends and family and nourish your inner ghoul with a brew steeped in tradition and mystery. A good howl at the Cheshire moon couldn’t hurt, either.
Malts: British Pale Malt, Munich, Flaked Barley, Wheat, 135/165 Crystal, Black, Roast
Hops: Chinook, Sterling Additional Ingredient: Licorice Root
OG: 1.074  TG: 1.017  ABV: 7.35  IBU: 41  SRM: 38

Hayride IPA
The synergy of Chinook, Crystal, and Santiam hops packs each sip with a seasonally appropriate spice character. Centennial hops give a mild citrus flavor while Horizon hops provide a delayed earthy bitterness to round out the beer. Beneath its dense head this beer glows a deep golden straw like wheat fields in fall.
Hops: Centennial, Chinook, Crystal, Horizon, Santiam, Zythos
OG: 1.060  TG: 1.010  ABV: 6.45  IBU: 75  SRM: 7

Amber Waves Wheat
Amber Waves displays a prominent Northwest hop aroma and a gentle touch of bitterness. Aromas of citrus and straw swirl above its dense creamy head. The addition of Red wheat to the grist adds a spicy earthy character to the beer resulting in greater complexity and layering.
Hops: Cascade, Centennial, Chinook
OG: 1.046  TG: 1.006  ABV: 5.16  IBU: 36  SRM: 4

Dark Passions Stout
Each pint pours like black midnight while aromas of raspberry, boysenberry, and chocolate tantalize your nose from its silky head. The beer flows like velvet on your palate giving way to flavors of berry fruits, caramel, and cocoa. A slight residual sweetness makes each sip taste like raspberry chocolate cake in a glass. Dive into your darkest desires with Dark Passions.

OG: 1.077  TG: 1.015  ABV: 8  IBU: 32  SRM:42

Urlaub In Berlin Weiβe
For those unfamiliar with the style, Berliner Weiβe (Weisse) is a highly carbonated sour wheat beer native to Berlin. It is often served with fruit flavored syrup added to balance the acidity of the beer. The resulting brew is uniquely crisp and refreshing experience. Each pint of our Weiβe is served with your choice of syrup on the side. Mix in the syrup to your desired level of sweetness and enjoy. For added flavor all our syrups are made fresh from real ingredients and are therefore subject to availability. Ask your server about our current list of available flavors.
Hops: Perle
OG: 1.052  TG: 1.010  ABV: 5.42  IBU: 40  SRM: 3

River Rock Porter
Brewing salts carefully added to the kettle match our brewing water to that of London, a city renowned for its Porters. This ensures a crisper malt finish which keeps the beer from feeling too heavy or cloying. Hops make their appearance only on the tail end of this beer, providing a mild bitterness to the finish. Despite its deep dark color, this porter feels light on the tongue and deceptively drinkable.
Hops: Cascade, Goldings, Perle.
OG: 1.050  TG: 1.010  ABV: 5.2  IBU: 35  SRM:26
