Sleepy Hollow Nut Brown Ale

Sleepy Hollow Nut Brown
It’s the time of year to start savoring the potion of your choice to warm the bones and soothe the soul. And one can’t think of anything better than the McMenamins classic seasonal brew, Sleepy Hollow Nut Brown. This longtime favorite has a chestnut color and medium body that will cast an otherworldly spell over you. The complex malt character, well balanced with Chinook and US Golding hops, will have you walking in a continual reverie. Legend has it that Ichabod Crane downed a few Nut Brown Ales listening to local ghost tales and scary legends at the Van Tassel merry-making party before his fateful trip home. Be watchful and clear-headed on your way home lest you begin to grow fanciful, see shapes and shadows in the night and hear things in the howling wind. It may just be your imagination running away with you or it very well may be the Headless Horseman on his fire-breathing black stallion following you!
Malts: Pale Ale, Flaked Barley, Munich, C15 & C120 Crystal, Chocolate, Roast
Hops: Chinook, US Golding
OG: 1.050  TG: 1.011  ABV: 5.03  IBU: 15  SRM: 18

Purple Haze
A light, crisp and refreshingly fruity ale made with boysenberries. Purple Haze is very lightly hopped to allow the berry flavor to shine. Slightly more tart and fuller bodied than our Ruby recipe, this is a pub favorite.
Malts: Premium Two Row
Fruit: Boysenberries
Hops: Centennial
OG: 1.040  TG: 1.007  ABV: 4.26  IBU: 4  SRM: 3

Stephen Weizen
Named for the best brewer in the Oak Hills Village strip mall, I have made a traditional German wheat beer or Weizen. The part that makes it so unique is the yeast. The strain used is called Weihenstephan. It produces flavors that include spicy clove and fresh banana. This Weizen has medium body but suspended yeast may increase the perception of body. The texture of wheat imparts the sensation of a fluffy, creamy fullness that may progress to a light, spritzy finish aided by high carbonation. This style is always effervescent and always satisfying. Thank you for coming. I hope you enjoy the Stephen.
Malts: Malted German wheat, Vienna, pilsner
Hops: Nugget, Sterling, Brewers Gold
OG: 1.052  TG: 1.009  ABV: 5.5  IBU:28  SRM: 7

Diamond Head IPA
Named for Diamond Head Crater in Oahu, this IPA has a beautiful lush aroma of pineapple and passion fruit. Besides the bittering addition, Mo-saic hops are the only type used. These vivacious hops are only available to me a few months out of the year due to their incredibly high demand. This year we were able to get our hands on some Mosaic pellets. This allows us to dry hop the beer in a very efficient manner. Instead of a hand-ful of whole flowers inside the keg, I dumped 6 pounds (1 Lb./ barrel) straight into the fermenter. This is my favorite hop to use in IPAs and I'm glad you were able to visit us while we have this gem on tap.
Malts: Pilsner, C-15, Flaked Barley
Hops: Nugget, Mosaic
OG: 1.062 TG: 1.012 ABV: 6.45 IBU: 75 SRM: 4

Bagdad
This McMenamins classic has taken on a transformation out here on the Westside. This is a stronger more full flavored interpretation of the original. This version is more of an English style Pale. The Munich and Vienna malt provide a slightly toasted malt character, while the Willamette and Sterling hops add spice and floral qualities. This beer finishes smooth with just a touch of sweetness.
Malts: Two Row, Munich, Vienna
Hops: Chinook, Willamette, Sterling
OG: 1.055  TG: 1.010  ABV: 5.8  IBU: 39  SRM: 5

Meridian SMaSH
McMenamins Cornelius Pass Brewery
This is a SMaSH beer which stands for single malt and single hop. This batch follows up on the success of Citra SMaSH and Mosaic SMaSH and Simcoe SMaSH and Centennial Smash. Look for fruity and floral notes from the Meridian hops against the toasty Vienna malt in this hoppy golden ale.
Malts: Vienna Malt
Hops: Meridian
OG: 1.041  TG: 1.007  ABV: 4.39  IBU: 42  SRM: 4

On Nitro Tap: Irish Stout
Irish eyes will be smiling with the arrival of our Saint Patrick's Day Seasonal that will pour exclusively on our ‘Nitro' taps for the entire month of March. It is a very dark, ebony-colored stout with a thick, creamy and long-lasting head. The flavor is a fantastic fusion of coffee-like roasted barley bitterness and semi-sweet chocolate. A mod-erate hop bitterness balances pleasingly with this hearty backbone, while tiny nitrogen bubbles enhance the sensation on your taste buds with a smooth, silky creaminess. One sip will have your head in the Emerald Isle clouds.
Malts: Pale Malt, Flaked Barley, Brown Malt, Chocolate Malt, Roasted Bar-ley
Hops:
Nugget, US Golding
OG:
1.045 TG: 1.007 ABV: 4.90 IBU: 38 SRM: 32

Post Up Porter
Cold weather, start of another Trail Blazers season, calls for a Porter. The Post Up Porter is a traditional American style Porter. It features Dark Crystal, Munich and Chocolate malts. Lightly hopped, the malt is the MVP of this brew. Lift a glass to the rain, the cold, the wind and a warm comfy bar stool!
Malts: Premium Two-Row, Munich, Chocolate, Brown, Crystal 120
Hops: Nugget, Sterling
OG: 1.055  TG: 1.013  ABV: 5.42  IBU: 54  SRM: 27

Hammerhead
A classic Northwest pale ale. This rich chestnut colored gem is a model of harmony between hops & malted barley. Hammerhead's signature Cascade hop nose & intense hop flavor blend nicely with the caramel tones from the Crystal malt. To run out is an unforgivable sin.
Malts: Premium 2-row Malt and 75L Crystal Malt
Hops: Cascade
OG: 1.056 TG 1.010  ABV: 5.93  IBU: 44  SRM: 11

Terminator Stout
Black as the darkest night, rich as the most decadent dessert, Terminator is for the true stout lover. A full bodied & flavor packed ale which draws its robust complexity from a wide array of kiln-baked specialty grains. Flavors of toast, chocolate, nut and coffee flavors in every pint!
Malts: Premium 2-row Malt, Munich Malt, 40L Crystal, and Black Barley
