Ale on Tap

Brewed at McMenamins Oak Hills Brewery
unless otherwise indicated

Tone Deaf IPA
Sometimes my lack of musical aptitude makes me feel estranged from my more euphonious Portland friends. So to fit myself back in to the Portland inner circle, I did what I feel I do best. Make a beer. The Tone Deaf IPA is lower than a baritone in bitterness yet higher than a castrato in flavor and aroma. Mosaic and Citra hops contribute a cadence of tropical fruit fla-vors. The lightness and crispness of Pilsner malt combine for a harmonic balance between malt and hop. Dry hopped with Galaxy pellets a soft peach aroma will be the first thing to touch your scenes.
Malts: Pilsner, Flaked Barley, C-15
Hops: Mosaic, Citra, Galaxy
OG: 1.062 TG: 1.010 ABV: 6.34 IBU: 74 SRM: 5

Dream Girl Summer Ale
The Dream girl wheat will put a smile on your face rain or shine. Brewed with Vienna and wheat malt, this American style wheat ale is sure to quench your summer thirst. Brewed with bitter orange peel and corian-der, the Dream Girls has just the right amount of spice and flavor. Pairs wonderfully with any pub menu but is also unique enough to stand alone.
Malts: Premium Two-Row, Vienna, Wheat
Hops: Citra, Meridian
OG: 1.048 TG: 1.008 ABV: 4.9 IBU: 25 SRM: 3

Purple Haze
A light, crisp, and refreshingly fruity ale. Slighty more tart and fuller bod-ied than our ruby recipe, this is a pub favorite. Made with boysenberries instead of the raspberry puree.
Malts: Premium Two Row
Hops: Chinook
Fruit: Boysenberries
OG: 1.040 FG: 1.006 ABV: 4.39 SRM 3

On Nitro Tap: Stormy Sky IPA
This is an IPA quite opposite of what you would typically see at Oak Hills. It's Darker in color and more earthy and spicy in hop flavor. Being drawn out of the nitro tap, gives it a soft, velvety mouth feel. With our weather starting to turn towards winter, I wanted an IPA to represent the season. The Stormy Sky is a much more malt driven beer than the dryer, more sum-mer like Diamond Head IPA. Weather you embrace the winter with Stormy Sky, or dream of summer with the Diamond Head, raise a glass of IPA!!
Malts: Premium Two-Row, Munich, Crystal 120, Chocolate
Hops: Centennial, Crystal, and Simcoe
OG: 1.060 TG: 1.010 ABV: 6.45 IBU: 83 SRM: 10

Red Rhino
To celebrate the 24th year of the Oak Hills brew pub we have concocted yet another original recipe. The Red Rhino is a red ale so rich in color and flavor that it has earned the Oak Hills patented “Rhino” moniker. Just the right combination and amount of crystal malt gives this ale its signature, deep red hue. Red Rhino is hopped with pungent Centennials and Cascade hops and in an attempt to round off this pure “C” hop beer, Centennial pellets were added toward the end of fermentation.
MaltsMaris Otter, Organic Crystal-60, Crystal 135-165 and Chocolate
HopsCentennial, Cascade
OG: 1.061 TG: 1.012 ABV: 6.32 IBU: 82 SRM: 16

Bagdad
This McMenamins classic has taken on a transformation out here on the Westside. This is a stronger more full flavored interpretation of the original. This version is more of an English style Pale. The Munich and Vienna malt provide a slightly toasted malt character, while the Willamette and Sterling hops add spice and floral qualities. This beer finishes smooth with just a touch of sweetness.
Malts: Two Row, Munich, Vienna
Hops: Chinook, Willamette, Sterling
OG: 1.055  TG: 1.010  ABV: 5.8  IBU: 39  SRM: 5

Meridian SMaSH
McMenamins Cornelius Pass Brewery
This is a SMaSH beer which stands for single malt and single hop. This batch follows up on the success of Citra SMaSH and Mosaic SMaSH and Simcoe SMaSH and Centennial Smash. Look for fruity and floral notes from the Meridian hops against the toasty Vienna malt in this hoppy golden ale.
Malts: Vienna Malt
Hops: Meridian
OG: 1.041  TG: 1.007  ABV: 4.39  IBU: 42  SRM: 4

L-Train Cascadian Dark Ale
This batch of Cascadian Dark Ale is blazing a new trail at the Oak Hills Brew- ery. Brewed with Briess Black Prince malt, a dark porter like color is im- parted without a heavily roasted and astringent flavor. This gives center court to the wonderful array of hops that makes the L-Train such a stand out brew. A moderate bittering addition lends a good opening hop bite while copious amounts of centennial hops in the flavor and aroma addi- tions give a double-doubles worth of piney, citrus character.
Malts: Premium Two-Row, Black Prince
Hops: Centennial, Nugget
OG: 1.060  TG: 1.011  ABV: 6.32  IBU: 59  SRM: 30

Hammerhead
A classic Northwest pale ale. This rich chestnut colored gem is a model of harmony between hops & malted barley. Hammerhead's signature Cascade hop nose & intense hop flavor blend nicely with the caramel tones from the Crystal malt. To run out is an unforgivable sin.
Malts: Premium 2-row Malt and 75L Crystal Malt
Hops: Cascade
OG: 1.056 TG 1.010  ABV: 5.93  IBU: 44  SRM: 11

Terminator Stout
Black as the darkest night, rich as the most decadent dessert, Terminator is for the true stout lover. A full bodied & flavor packed ale which draws its robust complexity from a wide array of kiln-baked specialty grains. Flavors of toast, chocolate, nut and coffee flavors in every pint!
Malts: Premium 2-row Malt, Munich Malt, 40L Crystal, and Black Barley
Hops: Chinook and Cascade
OG: 1.065  TG: 1.015  ABV: 6.45  IBU: 30  SRM: 35

Ruby Ale

Ruby
We still make Ruby with the same aims we had when brewing the first batch back in March 1986: To create an ale light, crisp and refreshingly fruity. Great Western Premium 2-row and 42 pounds of Oregon-grown & processed raspberry puree is used to craft every colorful batch.
Malts: Premium 2-row Malt
Hops: Vary
Fruit: Raspberries
OG: 1.039  TG: 1.005  ABV: 4.3
