Red Riser IRA
To celebrate the late winter months, McMenamins brewers have hand-crafted a delightful India Red Ale. At the time of year when it can be cold and bleak outside, Red Riser IRA peeks over the mountain tops to bring warmth and remind us that Spring is just around the corner. While waiting for Spring to arrive, Red Riser IRA will warm your soul and invigorate your taste buds. Made from the finest malted barley, along with some rye malt, this red giant is generously hopped with a heavenly blend of aromatic hop varieties. The glorious garnet hue illuminates the way to a wonderfully complex blend of malt flavors. The citrusy floral hop notes hit the nose in a prophetic burst of awareness that something wonderful is to follow. And it does. So enjoy the season and warm up with a pint of Red Riser IRA while you can.

A new spin on an old favorite, made for those who go back and forth, from hops to Purple Haze. A once light, crisp and refreshingly fruity ale made with boysenberries, Lil’ Hoppy, as some have come to call it, is dry-hopped with Mosaics for just the right amount of punch.

Uncle Buck’s IPA
With the holidays coming and going, it’s time to reflect on that guy in everyone’s family. You know the guy. He gets to drunk and tries to make it through the play at church, but can’t. Or, he talks politics, but all of his points are quotes by Disney characters. Or, my personal favorite, he makes pancakes the size of bus tires. Anyways, enjoy the family, enjoy the hops, and, for Pete’s sake, enjoy a John Candy movie.
Malts: NW Pale Ale, Pilsen, Flaked Barley, Crystal C15, Crystal C40 and Caramel 20.

On Nitro Tap:
Mornin’ Coffee Cream Ale
Just like the next person, I enjoy a nice pint with my lunch, and a few at dinner time, but I’ve always been empty handed at the breakfast table. Until now. Feast your eyes on this quintessential morning beer, the coffee cream ale. A nice, delicate balance of light and creamy, with just enough coffee flavor to do the job. Steeped in the kettle with 5 lbs. of McMenamin’s own Ethiopian blend, this blonde beer deceives with it’s underlying coffee tones. So, grab a growler and set your alarm clock, cause tomorrow morning just got better.
Malts: 6-row, Organic Barley Flakes, Superior Pilsen, Caramel Munich 40
Hops: US Golding and Nugget
OG: 1.049 TG: 1.005 ABV: 5.68 IBU: 28 SRM: 4
Two Scoops. One scoop sweet Spanish orange peel. One scoop dried lemon peel. One pint of awesome. With 50% wheat in the grain bill, and a light hopping of golding and centennial, this beer really gets a nice, summer day going in the right direction. With not a lot of sun left, we have to take advantage of the easy drinking, fruity wheat beers while we can. So, no more raiding the local kid’s soccer games for orange slices, just grab a glass, and save a kid’s halftime snack.
Malts: Wheat, Two Row, and Crystal 40
Hops: Nugget, U.S. Golding, and Centennial
OG: 1.047 TG: 1.006 ABV: 5.29 IBU: 15 SRM: 5
Brown Pelican Porter
When our Oregon summer feels more like a Louisiana winter, it’s time to raise your glass to the bird. The brown pelican flies rain or shine, so don’t let the weather dictate your brew. With subtle chocolate notes, and a soft coffee undercurrent, it’s no surprise that the bird is the word.
Malts: NW Pale, Premium Two-Row, Chocolate, Roast, Victory and Brown
Hops: Chinook, US Golding, and Brewer’s Gold
OG: 1.054 TG: 1.013 ABV: 5.29 IBU: 2 SRM: 19
Double Dare DIPA
This is a big ol’ beer. With nearly 500 pounds of grain, and an 8% abv, this beer isn’t messing around none. In fact, with so many hops, it’s like an obstacle course to your pallet. Some may call me crazy for naming such a mammoth beer after a late 80’s children’s game show, but I say hogwash. After a few glasses of this delicious beer, pull up a rerun of the Nickelodeon classic and tell me it don’t make sense. So, order up a pint, and remember, always opt for the “physical challenge.”
Malts: Heidelberg, Optic Pale, Caramel Munich 40, and Briess Victory.
Hops: Chinook, Amarillo, and Simcoe
OG: 1.076 TG: 1.014 ABV: 8.00 IBU: 100+ SRM: 7
This rich, chestnut colored gem is a model of harmony between hops and malted barley. Its signature cascade hop nose and intense hopped flavor blend nicely with the caramel tones from the crystal malt. A true northwest amber.
Malts: Premium 2-row Malt and 75L Crystal Malt
OG: 1.056 TG 1.010 ABV: 5.93 IBU: 44 SRM: 11
Black as the darkest night, rich as the most decadent dessert, Terminator is for the true stout lover. This is a full bodied and flavor packed ale which draws its robust complexity from kiln-baked specialty grains. Look for a wide array of toasted, chocolate, nutty and coffee-like flavors in every pint! The devoted swear by it, and it remains one of our top selling ales year after year.
Malts: Premium 2-row Malt, Munich Malt, 40L Crystal, and Black Barley
Hops: Chinook and Cascade
OG: 1.065 TG: 1.015 ABV: 6.45 IBU: 30 SRM: 35
One of our most popular standards, we still make Ruby with the same aims we had when brewing the first batch back in March 1986: To create an ale light, crisp and refreshingly fruity. Great Western Premium 2-row and 42 pounds of Oregon-grown and processed raspberry puree is used to craft every colorful batch. Simple but delicious. Taste the original!
Malts: Premium 2-row Malt
OG: 1.039 TG: 1.005 ABV: 4.39
