Jam Session IPA

Jam Session ISA
Spring is in full bloom and its song plays the soundtrack to a beautiful season. Wanting to add our instrument to the collaboration, the McMenamins brewers were inspired to produce Jam Session ISA, a light and easy drinking beer that embodies the spirit of spring as it fades into summer. Being an India style, expect our trio of hops to be the front man of this band, providing strong riffs of floral and pine and a beat of citrus. A majority of the hops is added in late additions, which provides full flavors and aromas without the bittering astringency. Whether you're a hard-rockin' IPA drinker or a classical golden ale drinker, you'll find the essence and song of the season in every pint. Enjoy a Jam Session ISA and turn the volume of your day up to 11. A one, a two, a one, two, three, Cheers!

On Nitro Tap:
Imperial Purple Haze
The Imperial Haze is much different than the regular octane stuff. With twice the grain as a normal batch, this normally dainty beer is coming in at a staggering 8 percent ABV. Also, with 100% more fruit added directly to the fermenter, The Imperial Haze has much bolder fruit flavor. Served on the nitro tap, the Imperial Haze will have a soft, velvety smooth mouth feel.

Vanilla Session Stout
A session ale is typically a low alcohol, easy drinking beer. It is a style that makes it possible to have a few, and not worry about walking away to tipsy. We don't often see flavorful stouts fall into this category. Behold the Vanilla session. Coming in at a conservative 3.74 percent alcohol, and showing off strong flavors of roasted malts and chocolate. The perfect number of fresh, whole vanilla beans were added to create a flavorful, easy drinking stout.

Nugget, Golding

Ebb and Flow IPA
Ebb and Flow means to decrease and then increase; we attribute this to the tides most of the time but right now we're talking hops! With a small first wort addition and a small bittering addition, the Ebb and Flow starts out with a lot less hops than the ever popular “Light of Day” IPA. But don't worry! In the flavor and aroma additions, (middle and end additions) we make up for it by increasing our hops by about 25 percent. Three pounds each of Centennial and Brewers Gold get thrown in at the very end of the boil to give this IPA a pungent and beautiful floral aroma.

Devil's Bitter

Devil's Bitter
Struck by the ferocious beauty of the Oregon coast, we set out to brew a drink worthy to be served from Devil's Punch Bowl.  Meet Devil's Bitter.  Shining like sun on sand, this crisp ale has a bright, fresh nose courtesy of a bountiful late addition of Golding hops.  The flavor is brisk but balanced, favoring bready complexity over malt sweetness.   This spring, as you await our annual release of Devils Bit Whiskey, raise a pint of Devil's Bitter and toast the power of nature and its delicious bounty.
Malts : Gambrinus Pilsen, Maris Otter Pale, CaraMunich 40, Flaked Barley
Hops: Centennial, Golding

Zero Tolerance Porter
You have no tolerance for anything but the best. With that in mind, I have put together an exciting array of crystal, roast, chocolate and caramel Munich malts. With its high malt complexity, the Zero Tolerance will appeal more to the malt lovers out there. With only 3.5 pounds of hops added to the brew, it’s the malt bill that stars in this show.

Deep V Wheat
The Deep V originated at the Edgefield Brewery in the spring of 2012. When I came to Oak Hills, I was eager to bring this recipe with me. This beer is flavorful yet extremely easy drinking. Named after the Edgefield brewers' favorite T shirt style, you can't help but be put in a festive mood while enjoying the Deep V. No matter what the season, Deep V will make you think of sunshine and warm weather. Great for parties, inquire about keg sales next time you have a get together.

Bagdad
This McMenamins classic has taken on a transformation out here on the Westside. This is a stronger more full flavored interpretation of the original.  This version is more of an English style Pale.  The Munich and Vienna malt provide a slightly toasted malt character, while the Tettnanger and Sterling hops add spice and floral qualities.  This beer finishes smooth with just a touch of sweetness.

This is a full bodied and flavor packed ale which draws its robust complexity from kiln-baked specialty grains. Look for a wide array of toasted, chocolate, nutty and coffee-like flavors in every pint! The devoted swear by it, and it remains one of our top selling ales year after year.

Ruby
One of our most popular standards, we still make Ruby with the same aims we had when brewing the first batch back in March 1986: To create an ale light, crisp and refreshingly fruity.  Great Western Premium 2-row and 42 pounds of Oregon-grown and processed raspberry puree is used to craft every colorful batch.  Simple but delicious.  Taste the original!
