Cedar Hills
Ale & Cider On Tap

Diamond Head IPA
Oak Hills Brewery • Stephen Harper
Named for Diamond Head Creator in Oahu, this IPA has a beautiful lush aroma of pineapple and passion fruit. Besides the bittering addition, Mosaic hops are the only type used. These vivacious hops are only available to me a few months out of the year due to their incredibly high demand. This year we were able to get out hands on some Mosaic pellets.  This allows us to dry hop the beer in a very efficient manner. Instead of a handful of whole flowers inside the keg, I dumped 6 pounds (1 Lb./ barrel) straight into the fermenter. This is my favorite hop to use in IPAs and I'm glad you were able to visit  us while we have this gem on tap.

Stephen Weizen
Named for the best brewer in the "Oak Hills Village" strip mall, I have made a traditional German wheat beer or Weizen. The part that makes it so unique is the yeast. The strain used is called Weihenstephan. It produces flavors that include spicy clove and fresh banana. This Weizen has medium body but suspended yeast may increase the perception of body. The texture of wheat imparts the sensation of a fluffy, creamy fullness that may progress to a light, spritzy finish aided by high carbonation. This style is always effervescent and always satisfying. Thank you for coming. I hope you enjoy the Stephen.

Meridian SMASH
CPR Brewery • Chris Oslin and Brady Romtvedt
This is a "smash" beer which stands for "single malt and single hop". This batch follows up on the success of Citra Smash and Mosaic Smash and Simcoe Smash and Centennial Smash. Look for fruity and floral notes from the Meridian hops against the toasty Vienna malt in this hoppy golden ale.

Red Rhino
Oak Hills Brewery • Stephen Harper
To celebrate the 24th year of the Oak Hills brew pub we have concocted yet another original recipe.  The Red Rhino is a red ale so rich in color and flavor that it has earned the Oak Hills patented "Rhino" moniker. Just the right combination and amount of crystal malt gives this ale its signature, deep red hue. Red Rhino is hopped with pungent Centennials and Cascade hops and in an attempt to round off this pure "C" hop beer, Falconers Flight 7C's pellets were added toward the end of fermentation.
Malts
: Maris Otter, Organic Crystal-60, Crystal 135-165 and Chocolate

Black Perle Porter
You like dark beer? This one's for you. Over Thirty pounds of combined Chocolate and Roast malts give this porter a very dark, smooth traditional flavor. If you don't think you're a dark beer lover, grab a sample and give it another shot. Close your eyes and think of coffee, chocolate, and toffee. With the absence of Black malt, the bitterness you sometimes detect in dark stouts will not be present. Lightly hopped with low IBU Perles, the Black Perle Porter gives center stage to the Chocolate, Roast and Crystal malts. Cheers.
Malts:
Two Row, Brown, Melanoidin, C-120, C- 135/165, Roast, Chocolate
OG: 1.051 TG: 1.016 ABV: 4.51   IBU: 27   SRM: 27

Bagdad
Oak Hills Brewery
This McMenamins classic has taken on a transformation out here on the Westside. This is a stronger more full flavored interpretation of the original. This version is more of an English style Pale. The Munich and Vienna malt provide a slightly toasted malt character, while the Willamette and Sterling hops add spice and floral qualities. This beer finishes smooth with just a touch of sweetness.
Malts: Two Row, Munich, Vienna
Hops: Chinook, Willamette, Sterling

Seasonal

On Nitro Tap:
McMenamins Irish Stout on Nitro
Irish eyes will be smiling with the arrival of our Saint Patrick's Day Seasonal that will pour exclusively on our 'Nitro' taps for the entire month of March.  It is a very dark, ebony-colored stout with a thick, creamy and long-lasting head.  The flavor is a fantastic fusion of coffee-like roasted barley bitterness and semi-sweet chocolate.  A moderate hop bitterness balances pleasingly with this hearty backbone, while tiny nitrogen bubbles enhance the sensation on your taste buds with a smooth, silky creaminess.   One sip will have your head in the Emerald Isle clouds.

Sleepy Hollow Nut Brown
CPR Brewery • Chris Oslin and Brady Romtvedt
It's the time of year to start savoring the potion of your choice to warm the bones and soothe the soul.  And one can't think of anything better than the McMenamins classic seasonal brew, Sleepy Hollow Nut Brown.  This longtime favorite has a chestnut color and medium body that will cast an otherworldly spell over you.  The complex malt character, well balanced with Chinook and US Golding hops, will have you walking in a continual reverie.  Legend has it that Ichabod Crane downed a few Nut Brown Ales listening to local ghost tales and scary legends at the Van Tassel merry-making party before his fateful trip home.  Be watchful and clear-headed on your way home lest you begin to grow fanciful, see shapes and shadows in the night and hear things in the howling wind.  It may just be your imagination running away with you or it very well may be the Headless Horseman on his fire-breathing black stallion following you!

Ruby
One of our most popular standards, we still make Ruby with the same aims we had when brewing the first batch back in March 1986: create an ale light, crisp and refreshingly fruity. Great Western Premium 2-row and 42 pounds of Oregon-grown and processed raspberry puree is used to craft every colorful batch. Simple but delicious. the original!

Hard Cider

Edgefield Hard Apple Cider
Locally grown apples are juiced and fermented into a light, crisp and refreshing hard cider.
ABV: 6.8%

Seasonal Cider: Ginger Perry
To produce our Perry, we employ many of the same fermentation principles and practices used for our standard hard cider. For the juice, we started with a freshly pressed Anjou pears, and feremented this to dryness. Pears, unlike apples and grapes, contain a higher percentage of unfermentable sugars (mainly sorbitol), so the finished fermentation contains a higher level of sweetness from these residual sugars. To balance out the acidity, additional fresh-pressed pear juice was also blended back into the fermented perry along with freshly juiced ginger to give it some zing.
