Black Widow PorterBlack Widow Porter
Originally created at the Thompson Brewery over 20 years ago on October 15, 1991 and made once a year by all Thompson Brewers to come after that, Black Widow has become an expected and welcome Halloween treat at the Thompson Public House in Salem. Black Widow’s web envelops the entire company every year now. Each deep-black goblet of Black Widow is packed full of the robust notes afforded by generous amounts of black and roast malts and further spirited with ethereal wisps of caramel and licorice. Both substantial and sublime, this elixir is sure to slake the most fiendish of thirsts. Open up a creaking pub door, find a seat with friends and family and nourish your inner ghoul with a brew steeped in tradition and mystery. A good howl at the Cheshire moon couldn’t hurt, either.

McMenamins Irish Stout (Nitro Tap)
One of our most popular seasonals, McMenamins Irish Stout is a real crowd pleaser. Black as night in color, this beer is actually light in body and low in alcohol. Roasted flavors dominate the palate while Golding hops add that perfect floral balance. Flaked barley gives a smooth creamy finish to this classic. Always served on the nitro tap.

Golden Stir Fry Ale
Fire up that wok and let’s get to work! Jalapeño, check, ginger, Check. Beer……big check. This golden ale is infused with Ginger and spicy Jalapeño. Don’t be intimidated by the jalapeño, most of the heat from the pepper is balanced by our good friend alcohol leaving behind only flavor and ample aroma. We are always trying to do something a little bit different at the Oak Hills brewery, and this is our latest offering. Purple Haze
A light, crisp and refreshingly fruity ale made with boysenberries. Purple Haze is very lightly hopped to allow the berry flavor to shine. Slightly more tart and fuller bodied than our Ruby recipe, this is a pub favorite.

Fort Knox IPA
This beer was made with pure gold. Brewers Gold that is! 7 pounds of Brewers Gold hops were used along with 4 pounds Nugget and Centennial hops for the perfect amount of signature IPA bite. Crystal-15 gives the beer its golden color. Just because the summer is on its way out doesn’t mean we don’t need our refreshing IPA any more. Flaked barley gives the Fort Knox some body and head retention. Cheers.

Dream Girl Wheat
The Dream girl wheat will put a smile on your face rain or shine. Brewed with Vienna and wheat malt, this American style wheat ale is sure to quench your summer thirst. Brewed with bitter orange peel and coriander, the Dream Girls has just the right amount of spice and flavor. Pairs wonderfully with any pub menu but is also unique enough to stand alone.

Back Porch Porter
Back Porch Porter is a superb sipping porter. Smooth and creamy with just the right chocolate/roast balance, this ale has the complexity that makes your tongue yearn for another chance to explore. Order your second pint now, it will give it a chance to open up while you sip your first. Cheers!

This McMenamins classic has taken on a transformation out here on the Westside. This is a stronger more full flavored interpretation of the original. This version is more of an English style Pale. The Munich and Vienna malt provide a slightly toasted malt character, while the Willamette and Sterling hops add spice and floral qualities. This beer finishes smooth with just a touch of sweetness.

Perennial Pale Ale
The Perennial Pale ale is a flavor and aroma forward beer, without the bitterness of an IPA. Crystal 75 malt was used to give this ale is brick color. 5 pounds of meridian hop pellets and one pound of Falconer’s Flight pellets went straight into the fermenter to give the beer its ample aroma and hop flavor.

A classic Northwest pale ale and McMenamins top selling beer. This rich chestnut colored gem is a model of harmony between hops and malted barley. Hammerhead's signature Cascade hop nose and intense hopped flavor blend nicely with the caramel tones from the crystal malt. This beer has a vocal following.

Black as the darkest night, rich as the most decadent dessert, Terminator is for the true stout lover. This is a full bodied and flavor packed ale which draws its robust complexity from kiln-baked specialty grains. Look for a wide array of toasted, chocolate, nutty and coffee-like flavors in every pint! The devoted swear by it, and it remains one of our top selling ales year after year.

Ruby Ale

One of our most popular standards, we still make Ruby with the same aims we had when brewing the first batch back in March 1986: create an ale light, crisp and refreshingly fruity. Great Western Premium 2-row and 42 pounds of Oregon-grown and processed raspberry puree is used to craft every colorful batch. Simple but delicious. the original!
