On Nitro Tap:
McMenamins Irish Stout
Irish eyes will be smiling with the arrival of our Saint Patrick’s Day Seasonal that will pour exclusively on our ‘Nitro’ taps for the entire month of March. It is a very dark, ebony-colored stout with a thick, creamy and long-lasting head. The flavor is a fantastic fusion of coffee-like roasted barley bitterness and semi-sweet chocolate. A moderate hop bitterness balances pleasingly with this hearty backbone, while tiny nitrogen bubbles enhance the sensation on your taste buds with a smooth, silky creaminess. One sip will have your head in the Emerald Isle clouds.
ABV: 4.90 IBU: 39 OG: 1.045
Buzz Words: Dry, creamy, robust
Oscars Grouchy IPA
Chances are you’re going to order this IPA regardless of what I write about it. So why are you wasting your time reading this? If you must know, this is a traditional Northwest IPA. This IPA is given a light, delicate body by primarily Superior Pilsen and Pearl malts, only to be crushed with healthy additions of the Northwests own Chinook, Simcoe and Citra hops.
ABV: 6.32 IBU: 87 OG: 1.059
Buzz Words: Bitter, Cold, Rude
Whovians! Help! The Doctor is away and Daleks have invaded my Brewery. They are searching for the lightly hopped English Brown. Fortunately I’ve shipped it all away, but we must drink it all before they can find… EXTERMINATE! EXTERMINATE! EXTERMINATE!
ABV: 5.8 IBU: 18 OG: 1.053
Buzz Words: EXTERMINATE
This Porter is a kinder gentler beer than the more aggressive Terminator Stout. The Midnight Wheat malt is de husked before it is roasted. This removes the astringent bitterness, and leaves in the dark color and sweet flavor. I named this brew after a good friend of 35 years. Porter is his favorite beer, so cheers Glenn.
ABV: 5.03 IBU: 11 OG: 1.053
Buzz Words: Roasted, Sweet, Chocolaty
Wunder Bär Munich Dunkel
This traditional Bavarian lager is given a beautiful copper/ruby hue by the Munich base malts. The sweetness of the heavy malt bill is offset ever so slightly by Oregon’s own Crystal hop.
ABV: 5.93 IBU: 22 OG: 1.058
Buzz Words: Deep, Bready, Colorful
Lucky Little Lizard Wheat
Equal parts 2-Row and Wheat malts give this little critter some body and a bit of Honey malt and C-40 for flavor and color. Topped off with just a touch of US Goldings and Nugget hops, to add some character. Easy-Peasy, Wheat Ale. Drink it up!
ABV: 4.90 IBU: 21 OG: 1.043
Buzz Words: Light, Bready, Easy Drinking
Blast Furnace Double IPA
It’s cold out there! And it’s only gonna get colder. I suggest you warm up with this high gravity, high octane Double IPA. Copious amounts of Pale and Pearl malts level out the heavy Amarillo hop additions. While the Caramel Munich gives this full bodied, decadent IPA a slightly bready character.
ABV: 8.39 IBU: 100+ OG: 1.080
Buzz Words: Warm, Rich, Smooth
Boysenberry Cream Stout
A healthy helping of Lactose and a hint of Boysenberries give this nice little winter refresher a crisp and creamy finish.
ABV: 5.68 IBU: 13 OG: 1.056
Buzz Words: Tart, Creamy
This beer uses true lager yeast. 4 weeks of fermentation and 4 weeks of cold conditioning make this a very drinkable beer. This was an attempt to clone our Bagdad ale. German malts and a pilsner yeast were used. Please raise a glass and toast the spring. Cheers
ABV: 5.29 IBU: 22 OG: 1.050
Buzz Words: Moderately Bitter, Crisp, and Rebellious
A classic Northwest pale ale, this rich chestnut colored gem is a model of harmony between hops and malted barley. Hammerhead's signature Cascade hop nose and intense hopped flavor blend nicely with the caramel tones from the crystal malt. This beer has a vocal following. To run out is an unforgivable sin.
ABV: 5.93 IBU: 44 OG: 1.056
Buzz Words: Hoppy, Amber, Carmel
Black as the darkest night, rich as the most decadent dessert, Terminator is for the true stout lover. This is a full bodied and flavor packed ale which draws its robust complexity from kiln-baked specialty grains. Look for a wide array of toasted, chocolate, nutty and coffee-like flavors in every pint! The devoted swear by it, and it remains one of our top selling ales year after year.
ABV: 6.45 IBU: 30 OG: 1.065
Buzz Words: Roasty, Black, Coffee
One of our most popular standards, we still make Ruby with the same aims we had when brewing the first batch back in March 1986: To create an ale light, crisp and refreshingly fruity. Great Western Premium 2-row and 42 pounds of Oregon-grown and processed raspberry puree is used to craft every colorful batch. It’s simple but delicious. Taste the original!
ABV: 4.39 OG: 1.039
Buzz Words: Raspberry, light, refreshing
Edgefield Hard Cider
Locally grown apples are juiced and fermented into a light, crisp and refreshing hard cider.
Edgefield Spiced Hard Cider
A harmonious addition of fresh Valencia orange zest, dried orange peel, whole vanilla beans, nutmeg and gently crushed allspice are all balanced above a freshly fermented apple juice.
