On Nitro Tap:
McMenamins Irish Stout
Irish eyes will be smiling with the arrival of our Saint Patrick’s Day Seasonal that will pour exclusively on our ‘Nitro’ taps for the entire month of March. It is a very dark, ebony-colored stout with a thick, creamy and long-lasting head. The flavor is a fantastic fusion of coffee-like roasted barley bitterness and semi-sweet chocolate. A moderate hop bitterness balances pleasingly with this hearty backbone, while tiny nitrogen bubbles enhance the sensation on your taste buds with a smooth, silky creaminess. One sip will have your head in the Emerald Isle clouds.
ABV: 4.90 IBU: 39 OG: 1.045
Buzz Words: Dry, creamy, robust
Red Riser IRA
Made from the finest malted barley, along with some rye malt, this red giant is generously hopped with a heavenly blend of aromatic hop varieties. The glorious garnet hue illuminates the way to a wonderfully complex blend of malt flavors. The citrusy floral hop notes hit the nose in a prophetic burst of awareness that something wonderful is to follow. And it does. So enjoy the season and warm up with a pint of Red Riser IRA while you can.
ABV: 6.97 IBU: 97 OG: 1.069
Buzz Words: Garnet-hued, Citrusy-floral, Warming
Wunder Bär Munich Dunkel
This traditional Bavarian lager is given a beautiful copper/ruby hue by the Munich base malts. The sweetness of the heavy malt bill is offset ever so slightly by Oregon’s own Crystal hop.
ABV: 5.93 IBU: 22 OG: 1.058
Buzz Words: Deep, Bready, Colorful
Benny’s Pale Ale (BPA)
This is an American IPA. The golden color comes from very small additions of specialty malts. The hops lend the spicy and piney aroma. This is the perfect brew for on the way to or returning from Reser Stadium. As you might surmise this beer is named after our fearless mascot Benny. Go Beavs.
ABV: 6.19 IBU: 95 OG: 1.059
Buzz Words: Bitter, Spicy, and Hoppy
This is a classic American Wheat ale, yet not as yeasty as the more common Hefewiezen. A barley-to-wheat ratio of 60/40 makes this beer a challenge to brew. Gluten makes wheat great for bread, however difficult to lauter.
ABV: 4.15 IBU: 12 OG: 1.040
Buzz Words: Refreshing, golden, malty
This is a Russian Imperial Stout. Originally brewed for the ruling elite of the Russian governments, this brew has a large variety of specialty malts, which give it an incredible malt base. This batch has 10 pounds of hops in it to balance the sweetness of the many types of malt. Drink it like Putin does.
ABV: 8.70 IBU: 54 OG: 1.088
Buzz Words: Roasty, Strong, and Full Bodied
This Porter is a kinder gentler beer than the more aggressive Terminator Stout. The Midnight Wheat malt is dehusked before it is roasted. This removes the astringent bitterness, and leaves in the dark color and sweet flavor. I named this brew after a good friend of 35 years. Porter is his favorite beer, so cheers Glenn.
ABV:5.03 IBU: 11 OG: 1.053
Buzz Words: Roasted, Sweet, Chocolatey
Wade’s Choice DBL IPA
This is a so called double IPA. First wort hopped with Nugget hops. Flavored with Centennial and finished with 3 adds of Chinooks. This is a beer for serious hop heads. Needless to say, the Monroe Pub’s Fearless Leader picked this beer style. Prost!
ABV: 7.61 IBU: 99 OG: 1.072
Buzz Words: Extremly Bitter, Strong, Rebellious
A classic Northwest pale ale, this rich chestnut colored gem is a model of harmony between hops and malted barley. Hammerhead's signature Cascade hop nose and intense hopped flavor blend nicely with the caramel tones from the crystal malt. This beer has a vocal following. To run out is an unforgivable sin.
ABV: 5.93 IBU: 44 OG: 1.056
Buzz Words: Hoppy, Amber, Caramel
Black as the darkest night, rich as the most decadent dessert, Terminator is for the true stout lover. This is a full bodied and flavor packed ale which draws its robust complexity from kiln-baked specialty grains. Look for a wide array of toasted, chocolate, nutty and coffee-like flavors in every pint! The devoted swear by it, and it remains one of our top selling ales year after year.
ABV: 6.45 IBU: 30 OG: 1.065
Buzz Words: Roasty, Black, Coffee
One of our most popular standards, we still make Ruby with the same aims we had when brewing the first batch back in March 1986: To create an ale light, crisp and refreshingly fruity. Great Western Premium 2-row and 42 pounds of Oregon-grown and processed raspberry puree is used to craft every colorful batch. Simple but delicious. Taste the original!
ABV: 4.39 OG: 1.039
Buzz Words: Raspberry, light, refreshing
Edgefield Hard Cider
Locally grown apples are juiced and fermented into a light, crisp and refreshing hard cider.
Edgefield Spiced Hard Cider
A harmonious addition of fresh Valencia orange zest, dried orange peel, whole vanilla beans, nutmeg and gently crushed allspice are all balanced above a freshly fermented apple juice.
