Thundercone Fresh Hop Ale

Thundercone Fresh Hop Ale
Fresh (or wet) Cascade hops were frantically delivered straight from the hop fields to every McMenamins Brewery and each batch of Thundercone Fresh Hop Ale was brewed within hours of the hops being picked off of the vine. The resulting beer is an absolute fresh hop showcase. This beer starts with a smooth foundation and just a slight maltiness. The real star of this show is the fresh hops used for both flavoring and aroma. Five pounds of fresh Brewers Gold hops per barrel were added in three different additions in every batch. These fresh Brewers Gold hops overwhelm Thundercone Fresh Hop Ale with an earthy, raw hop decadence that can only come from fresh hops. It is a greener and more unadulterated flavor and aroma than comes from dried hops. The blackcurrant, fruity and spicy notes usually associated with Brewers Gold hops are still present but with an amazing fresh hop funkiness added into the mix. This beer is so refreshing and hop-filled that you may think you are dreaming but Thundercone Fresh Hop Ale is in reality a short lived dream come true.

McMenamins Irish Stout

On Nitro Tap:
McMenamins Irish Stout
This is our Halfway to Saint Patrick’s Day Seasonal and will pour exclusively on our nitro taps for the occasion. McMenamins Irish Stout is our interpretation of the internationally renowned beer style that originated in Ireland. McMenamins Irish Stout is made as traditionally as possible with our own little twist. It is a very dark, ebony-colored stout with a thick, creamy and long-lasting head. The flavor is a fantastic fusion of coffee-like roasted barley bitterness and semi-sweet chocolate. A moderate hop bitterness balances pleasingly with this hearty backbone, while tiny nitrogen bubbles enhance the sensation on your taste buds with a smooth, silky creaminess. One sip will have your head in the Emerald Isle clouds. A touch of the Irish, the blessings of St. Patrick and a pint of McMenamins Irish Stout to you!
Malts: Pale Ale, Flaked Barley, Brown, Chocolate, Roast
Hops: Chinook, US Golding
OG: 1.045  TG: 1.007  ABV: 4.90  IBU: 38  SRM: 32

Eventide IPA
The deceptive strength of this heavy hitting IPA is hidden well behind a veil of refreshing smoothness brought on by the use of red wheat and amber malt. The malt bill gives way to a combination of distinct NW hop varieties and dry hopping with Falconers Flight 7c’s ensures a very assertive hop nose and pallet. If Eventide IPA had only one thing to say it would be “G’Nite”!
Malts: Pale, Red Wheat, Amber
Hops: Centennial, Nugget, Chinook, Amarillo, Cascade, Simcoe, Falconers Flight 7c’s

Dale’s Scottish Ale
Dale's Scottish Ale is a crisp and boggy brew with earthy aromas and a clean, malt flavor punctuated by hints of coffee and smoke. Accustomed to cool and damp weather? Surrounded by people in plaid and thick beards? Maybe this is Scotland, so belly up to the bar and order a Dale’s. Cheers mates.
Malts: ESB Malt, Roasted Barley, and Heavy Peated Malt

OG: 1.050  TG: 1.012    ABV: 4.9    IBU: 25    SRM: 10

Magic Mountain Hefeweizen
This classic Bavarian style wheat beer is tawny, tart and beclouded. Brewed on the sight of the former Pierce Sanitarium in Hillsdale and crafted to aid in the relaxation and physical wellbeing of all those who partake, we gladly present this golden elixir for your nourishment. And remember, lemons are for tourists.

Firmament DIPA
Looking for an IPA to take you somewhere far away? This double IPA may not be out-of-this-world but give it time and it might just put your head in the clouds. The taste is smooth and slightly malty with a good balance of hop flavor and bitterness. The IBUs measure at over 100 but the brown malt tames the perceived bitterness and complements slightly spicy rye notes.
Malts: Pale, Rye, C-15 and Brown
Hops: Centennial, Chinook, Mosaic and Amarillo
OG: 1.071  TG: 1.014  ABV: 7.35  IBU: 100  SRM: 7

Plattsmouth Pale
Plattsmouth pale is a light refreshing ale made for all the lovers of the Nebraska Bitter. Cascade hops were used liberally towards the end of the boil to increase the floral and citrus notes while keeping the bitterness in check. Balanced malt flavor and light body give this beer such broad appeal that even Ruby drinkers will be tempted to try a pint.

Hammerhead
A classic Northwest pale ale and McMenamins top selling beer. This rich chestnut colored gem is a model of harmony between hops and malted barley. Hops: Cascade
OG: 1.056 TG 1.010  ABV: 5.93  IBU: 44  SRM: 11
