Ale & Cider on Tap
Enjoy a pint of McMenamins' finest!
Beer available to go at all McMenamins locations.
Originally created at the Thompson Brewery over 20 years ago on October 15, 1991 and made once a year by all Thompson Brewers to come after that, Black Widow has become an expected and welcome Halloween treat at the Thompson Public House in Salem. Black Widow's web envelops the entire company every year now. Each deep-black goblet of Black Widow is packed full of the robust notes afforded by generous amounts of black and roast malts and further spirited with ethereal wisps of caramel and licorice. Both substantial and sublime, this elixir is sure to slake the most fiendish of thirsts. Open up a creaking pub door, find a seat with friends and family and nourish your inner ghoul with a brew steeped in tradition and mystery. A good howl at the Cheshire moon couldn't hurt, either.

30th Anniversary Hillsdale Ale
On October 25th 1985 McMenamins began its journey into the history of Oregon brewing with the liquid malt extract based Hillsdale Ale - a ‘Special Bitter' style beer that pre-dates Terminator, Hammerhead and Ruby as the company's first bona fide flagship beer. To celebrate this historic brew day, and the thirty years of hard work and creativity that have come after it, we've carefully studied the margins, scribbles, and beer stained errata of the original brewery records in an attempt to recreate one of the Pacific Northwest's lost legacy beers. We believe this modern version is true to its past as a medium-bodied, straw-colored ale with a crisp, light bitterness owing to Centennial, Tettnang and Brewers Gold hops.

This Double IPA was brewed with a Pale malt base, Munich, Amber and Honey malts were added to give the beer flavor and color. A low final gravity means there is very little sweetness allowing the twin hop flavors of pine and citrus to mix with the perceptible alcohol taste while still keeping the beer crisp and light in body.

A classic Northwest pale ale and McMenamins top selling beer. This rich chestnut colored gem is a model of harmony between hops and malted barley. Hammerhead's signature Cascade hop nose and intense hopped flavor blend nicely with the caramel tones from the crystal malt. This beer has a vocal following. To run out is an unforgivable sin.

Edgefield Hard Apple Cider
Locally grown apples are juiced and fermented into a light, crisp and refreshing hard cider.
Seasonal Cider: Blackberry
What says "late summer" in the Pacific Northwest more than the scrumptious taste of wild blackberries?? Utilizing two iconic Northwest fruits - apples and blackberries - we have crafted this delicious new seasonal cider bringing together the crisp bite of the apple with the overt fruitiness of the blackberry.Dark garnet in color, the aromas of fresh blackberries burst from the glass. The slightly tannic and tart blackberry component is balanced out by a small amount of residual sugar, while the fermented apple rounds out the mid-palate and finish.
