Black Widow
Originally created at the Thompson Brewery over 20 years ago on October 15, 1991 and made once a year by all Thompson Brewers to come after that, Black Widow has become an expected and welcome Halloween treat at the Thompson Public House in Salem. Black Widow's web envelops the entire company every year now. Each deep-black goblet of Black Widow is packed full of the robust notes afforded by generous amounts of black and roast malts and further spirited with ethereal wisps of caramel and licorice. Both substantial and sublime, this elixir is sure to slake the most fiendish of thirsts. Open up a creaking pub door, find a seat with friends and family and nourish your inner ghoul with a brew steeped in tradition and mystery. A good howl at the Cheshire moon couldn't hurt, either.

Hops: Ultra
Additional Ingredient: Licorice Root

30th Anniversary Hillsdale Ale
On October 25th 1985 McMenamins began its journey into the history of Oregon brewing with the liquid malt extract based Hillsdale Ale - a ‘Special Bitter' style beer that pre-dates Terminator, Hammerhead and Ruby as the company's first bona fide flagship beer. To celebrate this historic brew day, and the thirty years of hard work and creativity that have come after it, we've carefully studied the margins, scribbles, and beer stained errata of the original brewery records in an attempt to recreate one of the Pacific Northwest's lost legacy beers. We believe this modern version is true to its past as a medium-bodied, straw-colored ale with a crisp, light bitterness owing to Centennial, Tettnang and Brewers Gold hops.
Malts: Great Western Malting NW Pale Ale Malt, Great Western Malting Munich Malt, Great Western Malting Dextrapils
Hops: Centennial (Bittering), Brewer's Gold (Flavor & Aroma), Tettnanger (Flavor & Aroma)
OG: 1.045 TG: 1.008 ABV: 4.77 IBU: 38 SRM: 4

Greenway Golden
Here is an ale that is light in body, crisp and refreshing without any overpowering hop flavors or malty sweetness. The Greenway Golden pairs well with almost any food and makes a great session beer that won't fill you up so order a pint or ask your server for a sample.
Malts: Golden Promise, Munich, Honey, and Flaked Barley
Hops: Cascade, Centennial
OG: 1.044 TG: 1.006 ABV: 4.9 IBU: 35 SRM: 6

Dandy Amber Ale
This fancy auburn ale is the sensible and refreshing choice to satisfy the sophisticated. Malty but not overly sweet, mild hop flavors and medium bodied make this a smooth, delicate drink to be savored. If you are looking for something different, something classy, if you dress like Mr. Peanut, then this is the beer for you. Cheers.
Malts: ESB. Maris Otter, Oats, Chocolate and Honey malt
Hops: Horizon and Cascade
OG: 1.053 TG: 1.011 ABV: 5.4 IBU: 31 SRM: 12

Impromptu Porter (on Nitro tap)
Smokey, rich, oaky and dark, this beer is fantastic take on the classic Porter style with a winter twist. Baird's Peated malt and Thomas Faucett Smoked malt give this beer subtle smoke-y undertones. Smooth, Full Bodied and Delicious, this beer is best gulped by the campfire on a cool winter night.

OG: 1.056 FG: 1.015 ABV: 5.29 IBU: 25 SRM: 25

Cluster IPA
Earthy Cluster hops and slightly sweet malt flavors dominate this IPA and a subtle bitter finish makes it light and smooth, good for any meal or time of the day.
Malts: 2-Row and Vienna
Hops: Cluster
OG: 1.064 TG: 1.009 ABV: 7 IBU: 75 SRM: 5

Gemini DIPA
This Double IPA was brewed with a Pale malt base, Munich, Amber and Honey malts were added to give the beer flavor and color. A low final gravity means there is very little sweetness allowing the twin hop flavors of pine and citrus to mix with the perceptible alcohol taste while still keeping the beer crisp and light in body.
Malts: Pale, Munich, Honey, Amber
Hops: Centennial, Horizon, Golding
OG: 1.069 TG: 1.012 ABV: 7.4 IBU: 81 SRM: 8

A classic Northwest pale ale and McMenamins top selling beer. This rich chestnut colored gem is a model of harmony between hops and malted barley. Ruby Ale

One of our most popular standards, we still make Ruby with the same aims we had when brewing the first batch back in March 1986: To create an ale light, crisp and refreshingly fruity. Great Western Premium 2-row and 42 pounds of Oregon-grown and processed raspberry puree is used to craft every colorful batch. Simple but delicious. Taste the original!

ABV: 6.8%

Seasonal Cider: Blackberry
What says "late summer" in the Pacific Northwest more than the scrumptious taste of wild blackberries?? Utilizing two iconic Northwest fruits - apples and blackberries - we have crafted this delicious new seasonal cider bringing together the crisp bite of the apple with the overt fruitiness of the blackberry.Dark garnet in color, the aromas of fresh blackberries burst from the glass. The slightly tannic and tart blackberry component is balanced out by a small amount of residual sugar, while the fermented apple rounds out the mid-palate and finish.
