Originally created at the Thompson Brewery over 20 years ago on October 15, 1991 and made once a year by all Thompson Brewers to come after that, Black Widow has become an expected and welcome Halloween treat at the Thompson Public House in Salem. Black Widow’s web envelops the entire company every year now. Each deep-black goblet of Black Widow is packed full of the robust notes afforded by generous amounts of black and roast malts and further spirited with ethereal wisps of caramel and licorice. Both substantial and sublime, this elixir is sure to slake the most fiendish of thirsts. Open up a creaking pub door, find a seat with friends and family and nourish your inner ghoul with a brew steeped in tradition and mystery. A good howl at the Cheshire moon couldn’t hurt, either.
Malts: British Pale Malt, Munich, Flaked Barley, Wheat, 135/165 Crystal, Black, Roast

This Standard North West IPA is light in color and full of hop flavor and bitterness. Five pounds of Meridian hops were added to the fermenter to create a sweet, pungent aroma with flavors of lemon and fruit punch.

Dale’s Scottish Ale
Dale's Scottish Ale is a crisp and boggy brew with earthy aromas and a clean, malt flavor punctuated by hints of coffee and smoke. Accustomed to cool and damp weather? Surrounded by people in plaid and thick beards? Maybe this is Scotland, so belly up to the bar and order a Dale’s. Cheers mates.

Sibyl’s Strong Ale
It is said that a prophet (or prophetess) is never accepted in their hometown regardless of the truths they tell and the dreams they dream. You don’t need the spirit of divination to enjoy a pint of this strong ale; malty-sweet caramel flavors are balanced with Rye and roasted grains to create a full-bodied brew. Magic Mountain Hefeweizen
This classic Bavarian style wheat beer is tawny, tart and beclouded. Looking for an IPA to take you somewhere far away? This double IPA may not be out-of-this-world but give it time and it might just put your head in the clouds. The taste is smooth and slightly malty with a good balance of hop flavor and bitterness. The IBUs measure at over 100 but the brown malt tames the perceived bitterness and complements slightly spicy rye notes.
