Red Riser IRA

Red Riser IRA
To celebrate the late winter months, McMenamins brewers have hand-crafted a delightful India Red Ale. At the time of year when it can be cold and bleak outside, Red Riser IRA peeks over the mountain tops to bring warmth and remind us that Spring is just around the corner. While waiting for Spring to arrive, Red Riser IRA will warm your soul and invigorate your taste buds. Made from the finest malted barley, along with some rye malt, this red giant is generously hopped with a heavenly blend of aromatic hop varieties. The glorious garnet hue illuminates the way to a wonderfully complex blend of malt flavors. The citrusy floral hop notes hit the nose in a prophetic burst of awareness that something wonderful is to follow. And it does. So enjoy the season and warm up with a pint of Red Riser IRA while you can.

McMenamins Irish Stout

On Nitro Tap:
McMenamins Irish Stout

Irish eyes will be smiling with the arrival of our Saint Patrick’s Day Seasonal that will pour exclusively on our ‘Nitro’ taps for the entire month of March. It is a very dark, ebony-colored stout with a thick, creamy and long-lasting head. The flavor is a fantastic fusion of coffee-like roasted barley bitterness and semi-sweet chocolate. A moderate hop bitterness balances pleasingly with this hearty backbone, while tiny nitrogen bubbles enhance the sensation on your taste buds with a smooth, silky creaminess. One sip will have your head in the Emerald Isle clouds.
Malts: Pale Malt, Flaked Barley, Brown Malt, Chocolate Malt, Roasted Barley
Hops: Nugget, US Golding
OG: 1.045  TG: 1.007  ABV: 4.90  IBU: 38  SRM: 32

Cinder’s Flight
This is a semi-sweet stout with enough balance to drink all day long. Made with dehusked wheat that was then roasted this gives this beer a roasty and robust flavor without an astringent twang. This beer is dedicated to pets and the love and friendship they give and receive. John and Paul said it best “In the end the love you take is equal to the love you make”. Whether your dog’s name is Ellie, Chance, or Cinder, pick up a pint and toast your favorite companion.
Malts: Pilsner, Pale, Flaked Barley, Munich 40L, 135/165, Midnight Wheat, Black Prinz, and Roast
Hops: Chinook and Golding’s
OG: 1.058  TG: 1.017  ABV: 5.29  IBU: 17  SRM: 58

Hard Cider

Edgefield Hard Cider
The Edgefield Winery has been producing hard cider since 1992. Relying on the bounty that the Columbia Gorge offers us, we work with a local cider house that sources apples from cold storage to obtain fresh pressed apple juice throughout the year. The apples pressed off for our cider are primarily a blend of Red Delicious, Golden Delicious (added for color), Granny Smith (for acidity), and Fuji, Galas, and Honey Crisp (to increase sweetness).

The freshly pressed juice arrives at the Edgefield Winery, where it is pumped into temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks. Employing a cool fermentation to maintain as much of the fresh apple aromas as possible, we ferment the cider until it is completely dry. A bit of fresh-pressed apple juice is then blended back into the hard cider for some sweetness and to balance the acidity. We keg the cider with some CO2 spritz, and ship it off to all of our locations to enjoy! ABV: 6.8%

Edgefield Spiced Hard Cider
A subtle addition of winter spices rounds out this year's journey into the evolving world of McMenamins seasonal ciders. A harmonious addition of fresh Valencia orange zest, dried orange peel, whole vanilla beans, nutmeg and gently crushed allspice are all balanced above a freshly fermented apple juice. ABV: 6.5%
