Black Widow Porter
Originally created at the Thompson Brewery over 20 years ago on Oc-tober 15, 1991 and made once a year by all Thompson Brewers to come after that, Black Widow has become an expected and welcome Hallow-een treat at the Thompson Public House in Salem. Black Widow’s web envelops the entire company every year now. Each deep-black goblet of Black Widow is packed full of the robust notes afforded by generous amounts of black and roast malts and further spirited with ethereal wisps of caramel and licorice. Both substantial and sublime, this elixir is sure to slake the most fiendish of thirsts. Open up a creaking pub door, find a seat with friends and family and nourish your inner ghoul with a brew steeped in tradition and mystery. A good howl at the Cheshire moon couldn’t hurt, either.

All aboard the Hop Train. Hop Train India Red Session Ale has pulled into the Station hauling boxcars full of Mosaic and Golding hop flavors and aromas. Maris Otter Pale along with Crystal Rye, Melanoidin, Black and Blackprinz malts pull the load and add balance with flavors that complement those of the hops. Although Hop Train is packed with bold flavors, at 4.9% ABV, it is a session ale, and it won’t leave you feeling like you got run over by a train. So hop on board before it leaves. You won’t want to miss this train.

Firefly Kolsch is a crisp, thirst-quenching golden ale made as true to this unique German style as possible. 100% German malts lend a flavorful, yet surprisingly subtle malt profile. Tettnanger hops impart a distinct, yet extremely smooth hop character. Fermentation with a genuine Kolsch yeast strain makes Firefly Kolsch one of the cleanest tasting and most refreshing beers around.

Named after Ezra Wissler and the property along the North Umpqua river where he settled in 1852 (now known as Whistler’s Bend Park) this refreshing American Wheat Ale is light bodied with notable Wheat and Munich malt flavors, and modestly hopped for balance. Try it with a wedge of lemon or orange.

McMenamins Irish Stout
It is a very dark, ebony-colored stout with a thick, creamy and long-lasting head. The flavor is a fantastic fusion of coffee-like roasted barley bitterness and semi-sweet chocolate. A moderate hop bitterness balances pleasingly with this hearty backbone, while tiny nitrogen bubbles enhance the sensation on your taste buds with a smooth, silky creaminess. One sip will have your head in the Emerald Isle clouds.

Boysenberry Cream Stout

A classic Northwest pale ale and McMenamins top selling beer. This rich chestnut colored gem is a model of harmony between hops and malted barley. Hammerhead's signature Cascade hop nose and intense hopped flavor blend nicely with the caramel tones from the crystal malt. This beer has a vocal following. To run out is an unforgivable sin.

One of our most popular standards, we still make Ruby with the same aims we had when brewing the first batch back in March 1986: To create an ale light, crisp and refreshingly fruity. Great Western Premium 2-row and 42 pounds of Oregon-grown and processed raspberry puree is used to craft every colorful batch. Simple but delicious. Taste the original!

Edgefield Hard Cider
The Edgefield Winery has been producing hard cider since 1992. Relying on the bounty that the Columbia Gorge offers us, we work with a local cider house that sources apples from cold storage to obtain fresh pressed apple juice throughout the year. The apples pressed off for our cider are primarily a blend of Red Delicious, Golden Delicious (added for color), Granny Smith (for acidity), and Fuji, Galas, and Honey Crisp (to increase sweetness).
The freshly pressed juice arrives at the Edgefield Winery, where it is pumped into temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks. Employing a cool fermentation to maintain as much of the fresh apple aromas as possible, we ferment the cider until it is completely dry. A bit of fresh-pressed apple juice is then blended back into the hard cider for some sweetness and to balance the acidity. We keg the cider with some CO2 spritz, and ship it off to all of our locations to enjoy!
Edgefield Blackberry Hard Cider
We are happy to announce the release of a new seasonal cider - Blackberry! What says "late summer" in the Pacific Northwest more than the scrumptious taste of wild blackberries?? Utilizing two iconic Northwest fruits - apples and blackberries - we have crafted this delicious new seasonal cider bringing to-gether the crisp bite of the apple with the overt fruitiness of the blackberry.
Dark garnet in color, the aromas of fresh blackberries burst from the glass. The slightly tannic and tart blackberry component is balanced out by a small amount of residual sugar, while the fermented apple rounds out the mid-palate and finish.
