Launched in the foothills of Beaverton in 1990, the Oak Hills Brewery, like the Lighthouse before it, put the brewer in a fishbowl:  It's near impossible for any customer to escape the action during the brewing process.

Resident brewer Tony Balzola is a seasoned and knowledgeable brewer with a particular affinity for experimenting with different yeast strains in his own beer designs, consistently giving Oak Hills one of the most diverse style ranges across it's tap board amongst all of our locations.

Oak Hills regulars were vocal and voracious imbibers of Bagdad Ale, so much so that the Edgefield staple became a part of Oak Hills regular brewing rotation along with other company standards and seasonals.  Many memorable brews have sprung from its fermenters over the years — including Rhino Stout, It Goes to 11 (Spinal Tap Barleywine), and some of our earliest attempts at producing a Kiwi Fruit Ale.  It was also the home of a very early regular fan favorite dubbed Apollo Pale Ale, made by one of our pioneer brewers Scott Barrow.
