Sleepy Hollow Nut Brown Ale

Sleepy Hollow Nut Brown
It’s the time of year to start sa-voring the potion of your choice to warm the bones and soothe the soul. And one can’t think of anything better than the McMenamins classic seasonal brew, Sleepy Hollow Nut Brown. This longtime favorite has a chestnut color and medium body that will cast an otherworldly spell over you. The complex malt character, well balanced with Chinook and US Golding hops, will have you walking in a continual reverie. Legend has it that Ichabod Crane downed a few Nut Brown Ales listening to local ghost tales and scary legends at the Van Tassel merry-making party be-fore his fateful trip home. Be watchful and clear-headed on your way home lest you begin to grow fanciful, see shapes and shadows in the night and hear things in the howling wind. It may just be your imagina-tion running away with you or it very well may be the Headless Horse-man on his fire-breathing black stallion following you!

Purple Haze
A light, crisp and refreshingly fruity ale made with boysenberries. Purple Haze is very lightly hopped to allow the berry flavor to shine. Slightly more tart and fuller bodied than our Ruby reci-pe, this is a pub favorite.

Dale’s Wee Heavy
Dale's Wee Heavy is a crisp and boggy brew with earthy aromas and a clean, malt flavor punctuated by hints of coffee and smoke. Heavier than its predecessor Dale’s Scottish Ale, this Wee Heavy has pumped-up the flavor and alcohol while taming the peat flavors.

Farmstead Wheat
Cornelius Pass Roadhouse Brewery
This crisp, easy-drinking American wheat beer is 50% malted white rounded out with Pilsen and Vienna malts. Generous flavor and aroma additions of citrusy hops give this beer a bright nose with flavors of fruit and bread.

Talisman Pale
Looking for some good fortune? The Talisman Pale has what you need. Light, crisp and less than five percent alcohol makes this beer endlessly drinkable. Perle and Cascade hops in the kettle give bitterness and subtle floral notes to the beer while Meridian hop pellets were added to the fermenter to create a sweet, pungent aroma with flavors of lemon and fruit punch. Belly up to the bar and order a pint of this lucky charm.

Crystal IPA
Ready for a change from the über-hopped IPA? Starting with Gambrinus Honey malt and a heavy dose of Crystal hops this beer finishes smooth and balanced, slightly sweet and endlessly drinkable. The same amount of hops were used as in previous IPAs but they are utilized in such a way so as not to overloaded the beer with bitterness or piney, grassy flavors. This is the perfect pint for those who tend to shy away from the king of Northwest beers so ease into a glass of Crystal IPA and see what you’ve been missing.

Hammerhead
A classic Northwest pale ale and McMenamins top selling beer. This rich chestnut colored gem is a model of harmony between hops and malted barley. Hammerhead's signature Cascade hop nose and intense hopped flavor blend nicely with the caramel tones from the crystal malt. This beer has a vocal following. To run out is an unforgivable sin.

Terminator Stout
Black as the darkest night, rich as the most decadent dessert, Terminator is for the true stout lover. This is a full bodied and flavor packed ale which draws its robust complexity from kiln-baked specialty grains. Look for a wide array of toasted, chocolate, nutty and coffee-like flavors in every pint! The devoted swear by it, and it remains one of our top selling ales year after year.

Ruby Ale

Ruby
One of our most popular standards, we still make Ruby with the same aims we had when brewing the first batch back in March 1986: To create an ale light, crisp and refreshingly fruity. Great Western Premium 2-row and 42 pounds of Oregon-grown and processed raspberry puree is used to craft every colorful batch. Simple but delicious. Taste the original!
