Ales On Tap

SMASH is an acronym for Single Malt And Single Hop. The point of this style of beer is to isolate a single hop strain to really get an idea of what that hop has to offer. The Simcoe hop is a wonderful strain that we are excited to put on display for you. Paired with the highest quality German Pilsner malt, the Simcoe SMASH has a lovely, bright straw color. Only moderately bittered, we wanted this beer to be about flavor and aroma instead of pallet wrecking bitterness. The Simcoe hops are going to give off a pleasant earthy, pine aroma while the flavors will evolve from earth to citrus in the few wonderful seconds that this ale pleasantly strolls across your pallet.
Malts: Best Pilsner
Hops: Simcoe
OG: 1.058 TG: 1.010 ABV: 6.2 IBU:55 SRM: 35

Caesar's Retreat (Whiskey Barrel-Aged Old British Braggot)
Our Boudicca's Revenge braggot aged in a Hogshead Whiskey barrel for six weeks, where it picked up strong notes of vanilla and caramel. It features a smooth malt body that balances out flavors from Scottish heather and raw Oregon blackberry honey. Deceptively easy to drink, it creeps up on you like a band of Iceni Bretons flanking your legion. Something like that.

OG: 1.081 TG: 1.005 ABV: 9.80% IBU: <10 SRM: 18

Copper Moon
Copper Moon has a bit more malt quality and hop character than most other summer seasonals, giving rise to a refreshing, flavorful beer style that we like to identify as a Summer Pale Ale. The hop flavor and aroma intermingle to generate a dazzling citrusy, floral and slightly spicy olfactory experience.
Malts: Organic 2-Row, Organic Munich, Organic 60L Crystal
Hops: Horizon, Citra, Chinook
OG: 1.048 TG: 1.009 ABV: 5.03 IBU: 51 SRM: 6

This brew was brought to the Crystal Ballroom by our new brewer Stephen Harper, who brewed previously at our Oak Hills location, where the StephenWeizen was a local favorite. The part that makes this ale so unique is the yeast. The strain used is called Weihenstephan. (One of the oldest yeast strains in the world) It produces flavors that include spicy clove and fresh banana. This Weizen has medium body but suspended yeast may increase the perception of body. The texture of wheat imparts the sensation of a fluffy, creamy fullness that may progress to a light, spritzy finish aided by high carbonation. Malts: Malted German wheat, Vienna, pilsner
Hops: Nugget, Sterling, Brewers Gold
OG: 1.052 TG: 1.009 ABV: 5.5 IBU: 28 SRM: 7

13th Avenue Barleywine
