Originally created at the Thompson Brewery over 20 years ago on October 15, 1991 and made once a year by all Thompson Brewers to come after that, Black Widow has become an expected and welcome Halloween treat at the Thompson Public House in Salem. This year, however, Black Widow’s web has enveloped the entire company. Each deep-black goblet of Black Widow is packed full of the robust notes afforded by generous amounts of black and roast malts and further spirited with ethereal wisps of caramel and licorice.

Sleepy Hollow Nut Brown
This longtime favorite has a chestnut color and medium body that will cast an otherworldly spell over you. The complex malt character, well balanced with Chinook and US Golding hops, will have you walking in a continual reverie.

This is a hop-forward IPA that has pleasant hints of passion-fruit and citrus as well notes of pine and resin. Orange bodied with white lacing on the glass, it provides a balanced flavorful finish due to dry hopping with Chinook hops.

This beer was brewed in the traditional Kolsch style with a unique twist; 126 pounds of apricots were added to the bright tank post fermentation. It was fermented with classic German ale yeast at a colder temperature to produce a beer with a bright fruit nose and balanced character on the palate. Pomona is the ancient Roman goddess of fruit trees, gardens and orchard fruit.

Orzel Bialy Baltic Porter
Our beer is brewed with lager yeast at a slightly warmer fermentation temperature. It pours a deep reddish brown, with a dense creamy tan head and effervescent aromas of sweet caramel, toffee and dried fruits. A full bodied beer, with hints of cinnamon, chocolate, candied raisins and a residual sweetness.
Malts: Pale Malt, Pale Chocolate Malt, Red Wheat, Brown Malt, Pilsen Malt, Vienna Malt, Munich Malt, Caramel Pilsen, Caramel Munich 120oL and Special Aromatic.
