Black Widow Porter
Originally created at the Thompson Brewery over 20 years ago on October 15, 1991 and made once a year by all Thompson Brewers to come after that, Black Widow has become an expected and welcome Halloween treat at the Thompson Public House in Salem. This year, however, Black Widow’s web has enveloped the entire company, as every McMenamins brewery made a batch this year. Each deep-black goblet of Black Widow is packed full of the robust notes afforded by generous amounts of black and roast malts and further spirited with ethereal wisps of caramel and licorice. Both substantial and sublime, this elixir is sure to slake the most fiendish of thirsts. Open up a creaking pub door, find a seat with friends and family and nourish your inner ghoul with a brew steeped in tradition and mystery. A good howl at the Cheshire moon couldn’t hurt, either.

Thundercone Fresh Hop Ale
Fresh (or wet) Cascade hops were frantically delivered straight from the hop fields to every McMenamins Brewery and each batch of “Thundercone Fresh Hop Ale” was brewed within hours of the hops being picked off of the vine. The resulting beer is an absolute fresh hop showcase. This beer starts with a smooth foundation and just a slight maltiness. The real star of this show is the fresh Cascade hops used for both flavoring and aroma. Five pounds of fresh Cascades per barrel were added in three different additions in every batch. These fresh Cascades overwhelm “Thundercone Fresh Hop Ale” with an earthy, raw hop decadence that can only come from fresh hops. It is a greener and more unadulterated flavor and aroma than comes from dried hops. The citrusy, flowery and grapefruit notes usually associated with Cascade hops are still present but with an amazing fresh hop funkiness added into the mix. This beer is so refreshing and hop-filled that you may think you are dreaming but “Thundercone Fresh Hop Ale” is in reality a short lived dream come true.

Spontaneous Generation Berliner Weisse
In the middle ages, thinkers theorized that life- if given the proper conditions- could spring up from lifeless matter ‘spontaneously.’ For this beer, we’ve recreated the magic of spontaneous generation by storing our wort in the brew kettle over night and adding lactobacillus to sour the liquid. From the lifeless wort, a tart, tasty, light Summer wheat has sprung forth with centuries of brewing tradition behind it.
OG: 1.031 TG: 1.004 ABV: 3.48
Malts: Heidelberg, Pale Wheat, and Acidulated
On The Nitro Tap McMenamins Irish Stout is made as traditionally as possible with our own little twist. It is a very dark, ebony-colored stout with a thick, creamy and long-lasting head. A moderate hop bitterness balances pleasingly with this hearty backbone, while tiny nitrogen bubbles enhance the sensation on your taste buds with a smooth, silky creaminess.
OG: 1.045 TG: 1.007 ABV: 4.90% IBU: 38 SRM: 32
One of our most popular standards, we still make Ruby with the same aims we had when brewing the first batch back in March 1986: To create an Ale to be light, crisp and refreshingly fruity. Great Western Premium 2-row and 252 pounds of Oregon-grown and processed raspberry puree is used to craft every colorful batch. Simple yet delicious, taste the original!
Malts: Premium 2-row Malt
OG: 1.039 TG: 1.005 ABV: 4.39
Buzz Words: Raspberry, light, refreshing
A classic Northwest pale ale and McMenamins top selling beer. This rich chestnut colored gem is a model of harmony between hops and malted barley. Hammerhead's signature Cascade hop nose and intense hopped flavor blend nicely with the caramel tones from the crystal malt. This beer has a vocal following; to run out is an unforgivable sin.

Edgefield Hard Apple Cider
Locally grown apples are juiced and fermented into a light, crisp and refreshing hard cider.
Edgefield Blackberry Apple Cider
Dark garnet in color, the aromas of fresh blackberries burst from the glass. The slightly tannic and tart blackberry component is balanced out by a small amount of residual sugar, while the fermented apple rounds out the mid-palate and finish.
