Sunflower IPA Blooms Again

A limited number of bottles of Sunflower IPA are available for sale in July in our lil' tribute to the evolution of Oregon craft beer. Our brewers have added more bloom to our traditional Sunflower recipe, complete with an array of hop varieties for added aroma and hop flavor.

There's an event at every McMenamins Brewery
in Oregon for Craft Beer Month!

Here are just a few...

Limited Edition Tasting of
Barrel Aged Strong Ale Voorhees Vortex

The McMenamins High Street Brewer has really outdone himself this time! From 5pm to 8pm on Wednesday, July 6th, he'll be handing out samples & you might even get a peek into this underground brewery. "An oaky aroma will rise from the off-white head that sits on top of the thick, deep brown beer. This strong, silent brew masks its malty complexity with a not so subtle sweetness." You'll have to taste this brew to believe it.

Blasphemous Beer & Music Collaboration in Lola's Room
Crystal Brewer Drew Phillips utilizes a quarterly opportunity to create a beer specifically inspired by the bands that perform in this showcase. The band will often play a part in the brewing process, giving the end result the life it was meant for. On Wednesday, July 13th, Moonlover Saison will accompany four deep, dark bands, with Ghost Bath headlining as part of their 2016 Moonlover Tour.

Cornelius Pass Roadhouse 150th Birthday
& 15th Annual Roadhouse Brewfest

Join in this year's extravaganza, where we're throwing one big brewfest birthday! To mark the occasion, we're expanding the offerings to include over twenty beers & more than ten cider offerings, with happenings all over this gorgeous property. We'll even have a curated list of Sour Ales & Barrel Aged Beers near the Octagonal Barn. Come on down on Saturday, July 16th for one exciting party. There'll be something for everyone!

Limited Edition Tasting of Otto Pilot Lager
preceding History Pub on Beer Legend

Fred Eckhardt was truly a pilot, guiding the way for the craft beer industry, and because of him Portland is a much cooler place. For their beer tasting in the Boiler Room on Thursday, July 21st, the Kennedy School Brewers will feature Otto Pilot Lager, a beer made for this legendary aficionado, having based their recipe on one of his home brews. This beer was produced for a history presentation that will discuss and detail Fred's collection, now in the hands of Tiah Edmunson-Morton, curator of the Oregon Hops and Brewing Archives. Join us for the History Pub, "Fred's Beer: A Sampling of What He Left Behind," on Monday, July 25th and you'll likely leave with a little more knowledge than you'd expected.
