Originally created at the Thompson Brewery over 20 years ago on October 15, 1991 and made once a year by all Thompson Brewers to come after that, Black Widow has become an expected and welcome Halloween treat at the Thompson Public House in Salem. Black Widow’s web envelops the entire company every year now. Each deep-black goblet of Black Widow is packed full of the robust notes afforded by generous amounts of black and roast malts and further spirited with ethereal wisps of caramel and licorice. Both substantial and sublime, this elixir is sure to slake the most fiendish of thirsts. Open up a creaking pub door, find a seat with friends and family and nourish your inner ghoul with a brew steeped in tradition and mystery. A good howl at the Cheshire moon couldn’t hurt, either.

Gaspard’s Grove Peach
Edgefield Brewery • Troutdale, Oregon
This funky, fruity, slightly tart beer is named for Gaspard “The ‘D’ is Silent” Bauhin, a Swiss botanist who classified thousands of different species of plants. Among them, you may have guessed, was the peach. We used over 330 pounds of peach puree, 5 pounds of orange peel, and a big late addition of limited Mosaic hops to make this next-level fruit beer shine. This beer is best enjoyed with your trusty copy of Pinax theatri botanici and a solid understanding of binomial nomenclature.

It is often served with fruit flavored syrup added to balance the acidity of the beer. The resulting brew is uniquely crisp and refreshing experience. Each pint of our Weiβe is served with your choice of syrup on the side. Mix in the syrup to your desired level of sweetness and enjoy. For added flavor all our syrups are made fresh from real ingredients and are therefore subject to availability. Ask your server about our current list of available flavors. Oh, and if you’re wondering what the name means it translates as “Vacation in Berlin Wheat,” so grab a glass and enjoy your trip to the German capital!

Amber Waves Wheat
Unlike many American wheat beers; Amber Waves displays a prominent Northwest hop aroma and a gentle touch of bitterness. Aromas of citrus and straw swirl above its dense creamy head. The addition of Red wheat to the grist adds a spicy earthy character to the beer resulting in greater complexity and layering. While hoppier than a standard wheat beer, Amber Waves exhibits suburb balance and drinkability. This beer is ideal for those seeking something on the lighter side but who demand more out of their wheat beers.
Malts: Premium Two-Row, Wheat, Red Wheat, Unmalted Wheat
Hops: Cascade, Centennial, Chinook
OG: 1.046 TG: 1.006 ABV: 5.16 IBU: 36 SRM: 4
River Rock Porter
Let the waves of French roasted coffee, toasted almonds, and dark chocolate riffle over your pallet. Brewing salts carefully added to the kettle match our brewing water to that of London, a city renowned for its Porters. This ensures a crisper malt finish which keeps the beer from feeling too heavy or cloying. Hops make their appearance only on the tail end of this beer, providing a mild bitterness to the finish. Despite its deep dark color, this porter feels light on the tongue and deceptively drinkable.
Malts: Premium 2-row, Rye Malt, Crystal Rye, Brown Malt, Chocolate Malt, Crystal 60
Hops: Cascade, Goldings, Perle.
One of our most popular standards, we still make Ruby with the same aims we had when brewing the first batch back in March 1986: To create an ale light, crisp and refreshingly fruity. Great Western Premium 2-row and 42 pounds of Oregon-grown and processed raspberry puree is used to craft every colorful batch. Simple but delicious. Taste the original!
Malts: Premium 2-row Malt
OG: 1.039 TG: 1.005 ABV: 4.39%
A classic Northwest pale ale and McMenamins top selling beer. This rich chestnut colored gem is a model of harmony between hops and malted barley. Hammerhead's signature Cascade hop nose and intense hopped flavor blend nicely with the caramel tones from the crystal malt. This beer has a vocal following. To run out is an unforgivable sin.
