Copper Moon

Copper Moon
The first thing you’ll notice about Copper Moon is the coppery orange luminescence radiating out of the pint glass. This comes from the special combination of three different Organic malts in every batch. Those Organic malts also impart a flavorsome yet summery smooth sweetness that quenches your thirst at the same time as tantalizing your taste buds. The upfront hop bitterness of Copper Moon is relatively low, complementing the malts nicely without being overpowering. The hop flavor and aroma are another matter, as the Centennial and Sterling hops used in the latter stages of each batch intermingle delightfully to generate a dazzling citrusy, flowery and slightly spicy olfactory experience. All these things blend into a refreshing, flavorful and organic Summer Pale Ale. There’s a Copper Moon risin’ again this summer across McMenamins; make sure that you check it out.

Purple Haze
A light, crisp and refreshingly fruity ale made with boysenberries. Purple Haze is very lightly hopped to allow the berry flavor to shine. Slightly more tart and fuller bodied than our Ruby recipe, this is a pub favorite.

Bonne Chiere Triple+
In the Belgium city of Bruges sits the “Bonne Chiere” windmill on a long stretch of grass on the edge of town. Under the arms of this Quixotic giant, basking in the warm summer sun I savored my first experience with Belgian beers, Triples in particular. Captivated by their complexity, strength and character I brewed this Triple as homage to the “Venice of the North”. Imported French grain provides the bulk of the grist adding a distinct European malt character. For added authenticity, brewing salts were judiciously added to replicate the brewing water of Antwerp. The use of “Noble”style hops ensures a delicate hop aroma while Belgian Ardennes yeast supplies the necessary Belgian yeast character. Finally, a special blend of spices carefully added to the kettle ensures that each sip is layered with as much depth as possible.

Jam Session ISA

McMenamins brewers were inspired by nature's beauty to produce Jam Session ISA, a light and easy drinking beer that embodies the spirit of spring as it fades into summer. Being an India style, expect our quartet of hops to be the front man of this band, providing strong riffs of floral and pine and a beat of citrus. A majority of the hops is added in late additions, which provides full flavors and aromas without the bittering astringency. Whether you’re a hard-rockin’ IPA drinker or a classical golden ale drinker, you’ll find the essence and song of the season in every pint. Enjoy a Jam Session ISA and turn the volume of your day up to 11. A one, a two, a one, two, three, Cheers!

Zesty’s Best Porter
Notes of chocolate, rum raisin, licorice, caramel, and just a hint or orange zest intersperse in this complex full bodied Porter. Pouring this beer on nitro ensures the densest head possible and a creamy mouth-feel you won’t soon forget. A slight residual sweetness makes Zesty’s Porter pair exceptionally well with deserts. You might even consider making your own Zesty’s beer float by adding a scoop of vanilla ice-cream to your pint; I guarantee you won’t regret it!

Old Church Pale
This pale ale is a lighter and hoppier reimagining of our classic “Hammerhead” ale. Dry hopped twice for maximum hop aroma this beer is packed with notes of citrus, tropical fruits, and pine. By slightly reducing the amount of crystal malt in the grist this beer is better able to showcase its hoppy side while remaining light and drinkable. “Old Church Pale” is brewed for IPA fans looking for something a little less bitter but still loaded with hop flavor.

Porch Swing IPA
Designed with the hot days of summer in mind, this light bodied IPA presents itself with complex floral and woody notes on the bouquet. Each sip is layered with flavors of grapefruit and pine which slowly fade to a spicy rounded bitterness on the end. Malt presence is muted to allow the hops to really shine while keeping the beer exceptionally smooth and drinkable. Don’t let the heat wear you down, grab a pint and cool off with Porch Swing IPA!

Golden Sunshine Wheat
Looking for a little liquid sunshine? Well we’ve got just the thing! This light and refreshing American style wheat beer goes down smooth and pours a beautiful pale straw color. The combination of malted and unmalted wheat gives “Golden Sunshine” the extra body, head retention, and flavor other wheat beers lack. Great by itself or with your favorite fruit, this beer is sure to brighten your day!

X-Mas In July DIPA
Last December Santa brewed up something special for us here at the Old Church (for those that remember we called it “Santa’s Stash DIPA”). Well, it seems Old Saint Nick decided to outdo himself once again with “X-mas in July DIPA”. Our “Santa’s Stash DIPA” aged to perfection for almost six month in an American oak whiskey barrel, this beer is packed with complex notes of pine, vanilla, plum, whiskey, and a hint of citrus. Time has mellowed the hop bitterness making this high IBU beer incredibly drinkable. Christmas may only come once a year but we all deserve a present now and then!

Ruby Ale

One of our most popular standards, we still make Ruby with the same aims we had when brewing the first batch back in March 1986: To create an ale light, crisp and refreshingly fruity. Great Western Premium 2-row and 42 pounds of Oregon-grown and processed raspberry puree is used to craft every colorful batch. Simple but delicious. Taste the original!

A classic Northwest pale ale and McMenamins top selling beer. This rich chestnut colored gem is a model of harmony between hops and malted barley. Hammerhead's signature Cascade hop nose and intense hopped flavor blend nicely with the caramel tones from the crystal malt. This beer has a vocal following. To run out is an unforgivable sin.

Terminator Stout
Black as the darkest night, rich as the most decadent dessert, Terminator is for the true stout lover. This is a full bodied and flavor packed ale which draws its robust complexity from kiln-baked specialty grains. Look for a wide array of toasted, chocolate, nutty and coffee-like flavors in every pint! The devoted swear by it, and it remains one of our top selling ales year after year.

Hard Cider

Edgefield Hard Apple Cider
Locally grown apples are juiced and fermented into a light, crisp and refreshing hard cider.
ABV: 6.8%

Edgefield Hard Black Cherry Cider
This dry cherry cider combines black cherries with red delicious, golden delicious, granny smith, fuji apples, gala, and honey crisp apples to make this a good balance of of apples and cherries.
ABV: 6.7%
