Kris Kringle Ale

Kris Kringle
Just in time for the holidays, the busy-as-elves McMenamins brewers have created another wonderful gift for your taste buds this holiday season. The 2014 version of Kris Kringle is a hearty and robust ale with a big and bold malt complexity as well as an intense and flavorful hop profile. This “winter warmer” highlights the rich, toasty, aromatic and chocolaty malt flavors as its very sturdy foundation. Generous amounts of five different hop varieties were added in five different additions, which delivers a magnificent and massive hop assault. McMenamins brewers hope you enjoy this years’ version of our old Holiday favorite, Kris Kringle. Happy Holidays and a Wonderful New Year!

El Dorado Golden Ale
Like the mythical city that shares its name, this crisp light beer shines bright as gold. A moderate use of oatmeal ensures a full bodied beer that won’t fill you up. A restrained hop presence balances the beer allowing both malt and hops to play on your palate. At long last, taste the hidden treasures of El Dorado!

Blood of The Beast DIRA
No hops were spared from this beast of a beer. Copious late kettle additions and overly generous dry hopping ensure a vibrant and ferociously hoppy beer. Beneath its beautiful sanguine hue hop notes of grapefruit, pine, and lemon interplay with a mild toasted malt character. Despite its high alcohol content the beer finishes dry with a strong hop bitterness to wash it all down. Unleashed just in time for the Wilsonville Autumn Ale Festival to take the oar back home. If hops could bleed they would taste like this!
Malts: Red X Malt
Hops: Amarillo, Cascade, Centennial, Chinook, Crystal, Horizon, Meridian, Mosaic, Simcoe
OG: 1.082  TG: 1.012  ABV: 9.5  IBU: 100+  SRM: 16

On Nitro Tap:
Mad For Plaid Scotch Ale
This full bodied amber ale is packed with malty notes of caramel, toffee, and just a hint of cinnamon. Delicate yeast esters hint of fresh apples while Goldings hops lend a mild spiced tea aroma. For a further authenticity, water salts were delicately added to match the water of Edinburgh Scotland, a region famous for quality scotch ales. To top it all off, each pint is covered with a thick layer of the creamy nitro goodness you know and love. Try one, and pretty soon you’ll discover a new love for all things plaid!
Malts: NW Pale Malt, Flaked Barley, Crystal 40, Crystal 120, Melanoidin Malt, Pale Chocolate Malt.
Hops: Horizon, Goldings Water: Edinburgh Profile
OG: 1.050  TG: 1.012  ABV: 4.9%  IBU: 30  SRM: 13

Hayride IPA
Autumn is underway and to compliment all the trips to the pumpkin patch, ciders, and seasonal treats we’ve whipped up this wonderful American style IPA. The synergy of Chinook, Crystal, and Santiam hops packs each sip with a seasonally appropriate spice character. Centennial hops give a mild citrus flavor while Horizon hops provide a delayed earthy bitterness to round out the beer. Beneath its dense head this beer glows a deep golden straw like wheat fields in fall. So hop on board and enjoy a pint.
Malts: Premium Two Row, Crystal Munich 40, Carapils
Hops: Centennial, Chinook, Crystal, Horizon, Santiam, Zythos
OG: 1.060  TG: 1.010  ABV: 6.45%  IBU: 75  SRM: 7

Amber Waves Wheat
Unlike many American wheat beers; Amber Waves displays a prominent Northwest hop aroma and a gentle touch of bitterness. Aromas of citrus and straw swirl above its dense creamy head. The addition of Red wheat to the grist adds a spicy earthy character to the beer resulting in greater complexity and layering. While hoppier than a standard wheat beer, Amber Waves exhibits suburb balance and drinkability. This beer is ideal for those seeking something on the lighter side but who demand more out of their wheat beers.
Malts: Premium Two-Row, Wheat, Red Wheat, Unmalted Wheat
Hops: Cascade, Centennial, Chinook
OG: 1.046  TG: 1.006  ABV: 5.16  IBU: 36  SRM: 4

River Rock Porter
Let the waves of French roasted coffee, toasted almonds, and dark chocolate riffle over your pallet. Brewing salts carefully added to the kettle match our brewing water to that of London, a city renowned for its Porters. This ensures a crisper malt finish which keeps the beer from feeling too heavy or cloying. Hops make their appearance only on the tail end of this beer, providing a mild bitterness to the finish. Despite its deep dark color, this porter feels light on the tongue and deceptively drinkable.
Malts: Premium 2-row, Rye Malt, Crystal Rye, Brown Malt, Chocolate Malt, Crystal 60
Hops: Cascade, Goldings, Perle.

Cinderella’s Carriage Pumpkin Ale
Looking for something to warm your bones during the rainy season? Well, we’ve got just the seasonal treat for you! Thanks to a generous donation from Rysers pumpkin farm in Wilsonville, this beer is brewed with only the finest and freshest local pumpkins, no canned puree here! Cinderella pumpkins are known for their full flavor, thick meat, and beautiful color, all of which make them ideal for brewing. This beer is spiced to perfection with notes of cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger, and of course pumpkin. A mild biscuit and chocolate malt character balances the spices while goldings hops provide a suggestive layering to the beer. Let yourself be carried away by this complex autmun warmer. After all, this is one beer that won’t make you late to the ball.
Malts: Golden Promise, Rolled Oats, Malted Wheat, Caramel Amber, Crystal 120, Pale Chocolate

Ruby Ale

One of our most popular standards, we still make Ruby with the same aims we had when brewing the first batch back in March 1986: To create an ale light, crisp and refreshingly fruity. Great Western Premium 2-row and 42 pounds of Oregon-grown and processed raspberry puree is used to craft every colorful batch. Simple but delicious. Taste the original!
