Originally created at the Thompson Brewery over 20 years ago on October 15, 1991 and made once a year by all Thompson Brewers to come after that, Black Widow has become an ex- pected and welcome Halloween treat at the Thompson Public House in Salem. Black Widow's web envelops the entire com- pany every year now. Each deep-black goblet of Black Widow is packed full of the robust notes afforded by generous amounts of black and roast malts and further spirited with ethereal wisps of caramel and licorice. Both substantial and sublime, this elixir is sure to slake the most fiendish of thirsts. Open up a creaking pub door, find a seat with friends and fam- ily and nourish your inner ghoul with a brew steeped in tradi- tion and mystery. A good howl at the Cheshire moon couldn't hurt, either.

Over the top all the way. This is best described as an dessert ale. Insane amounts of malts give this beast a very thick, sweet, and palpable body. One of our most popular standards, we still make Ruby with the same aims we had when brewing the first batch back in March 1986: To create an ale light, crisp and refreshingly fruity. Great Western Premium 2-row and 42 pounds of Oregon-grown and processed raspberry puree is used to craft every colorful batch. Simple but delicious. Taste the original!

Hard Cider & Perry
Edgefield Hard Cider
Take a minute to enjoy a unique combination of flavors that have made the Columbia Gorge famous. The apples pressed off for fermentation are a blend of Red Delicious, Golden Delicious, Granny Smith, Fuji, Galas, and Honey Crisp. Together they make a light, crisp and refreshing hard cider.
What says "late summer" in the Pacific Northwest more than the
scrumptious taste of wild blackberries?? Utilizing two iconic Northwest fruits - apples and blackberries - we have crafted this delicious new seasonal cider bringing together the crisp bite of the apple with the overt fruitiness of the blackberry.
Dark garnet in color, the aromas of fresh blackberries burst from the glass. The slightly tannic and tart blackberry component is balanced out by a small amount of residual sugar, while the fer- mented apple rounds out the mid-palate and finish.
