Just in time for the holidays, the busy-as-elves McMenamins brewers have created another wonderful gift for your taste buds this holiday season. The 2013 version of Kris Kringle is a hearty and robust ale with a big and bold malt complexity as well as an intense and flavorful hop profile. This "winter warmer" highlights the rich, toasty, aromatic and chocolaty malt flavors as its very sturdy foundation. Generous amounts of four different hop varieties were added in five different additions, which delivers a magnificent and massive hop assault. Smith's Oatmeal Stout
Some describe oatmeal stout as a meal in a glass. I heartily concur with that sentiment. Pouring this beer on the nitro tap brings out the roast malt character. It is an outstanding brew for a cold winter's day. This full bodied and flavorful ale was named after my current intern on loan from O.S.U.

Bagdad Ale is a benchmark beer for McMenamins. Inspired by the Pilsner style, our Bagdad Ale is one for the lager lovers. Its fine hop aroma and quick, light finish makes this a good ale for hot weather. It has become a favorite at McMenamins Bagdad Theater in Portland.

A classic American Wheat ale, not as yeasty as the more common Hefewiezen. A barley to wheat ratio of 60/40 make this beer a challenge to brew. Gluten makes wheat great for bread, however for beer it is difficult to not stick the mash.

Hops: Centennial, two adds of Tettnanger

Buzz Words: Refreshing, golden, malty
This is a Russian Imperial Stout. Ballena means whale in Spanish. 42 ounce bottles of Pacifico in Baja are called Ballena's. I consumed several these bottles while watching whales in B.C.S. My wife suggested I name a brew after these magnificent beings. Sounded like a good idea to me. A big beer like an Imperial Stout seemed to fit. Bad roads bring good people was what she said to me.

Must Be IPA
This is an American style IPA. With a hint of dark malt for color and generous amounts of hops. This style originally was made for the long voyages to supply the troops in all corners of the British Empire. I hope this makes your journey more enjoyable.

This is a so-called double IPA. First was hopped with Nugget hops. Flavored with Perle and finished with 3 adds of Chinooks. Dry-hopped with Falconers Flight pellets. This is a beer for serious hop heads. Needless to say our Fearless Leader picked this beer style. Prost!

A classic Northwest pale ale. This rich chestnut colored gem is a model of harmony between hops and malted barley. Hammerhead's signature Cascade hop nose and intense hopped flavor blend nicely with the caramel tones from the crystal malt.

Hard Cider & Perry
What says "late summer" in the Pacific Northwest more than the scrumptious taste of wild blackberries?? Utilizing two iconic Northwest fruits - apples and blackberries - we have crafted this delicious new seasonal cider bringing together the crisp bite of the apple with the overt fruitiness of the blackberry. Dark garnet in color, the aromas of fresh blackberries burst from the glass. The slightly tannic and tart blackberry component is balanced out by a small amount of residual sugar, while the fermented apple rounds out the mid-palate and finish.
Edgefield Hard Cider
Locally grown apples are juiced and fermented into a light, crisp and refreshing hard cider.
