Kris Kringle Ale

Just in time for the holidays, the busy-as-elves McMenamins brewers have created another wonderful gift for your taste buds this holiday season. The 2014 version of Kris Kringle is a hearty and robust ale with a big and bold malt complexity as well as an intense and flavorful hop profile. This “winter warmer” highlights the rich, toasty, aromatic and chocolaty malt flavors as its very sturdy foundation. Generous amounts of five different hop varieties were added in five different additions, which delivers a magnificent and massive hop assault. McMenamins brewers hope you enjoy this years’ version of our old Holiday favorite, Kris Kringle. Happy Holidays and a Wonderful New Year!

Black Widow Porter

Black Widow
Originally created at the Thompson Brewery on October 15, 1991, Black Widow has now become an expected and welcome Halloween treat at all McMenamins pubs and restaurants. Each deep-black goblet of Black Widow is packed full of the robust notes afforded by generous amounts of black and roast malts and further spirited with ethereal wisps of caramel and licorice. Both substantial and sublime, this elixir is sure to slake the most fiendish of thirsts. Open up a creaking pub door, find a seat with friends and family and nourish your inner ghoul with a brew steeped in tradition and mystery. A good howl at the Cheshire moon couldn’t hurt, either.
Malts: British Pale Malt, Munich, Flaked Barley, Wheat, 135/165 Crystal, Black, Roast
Hops: Chinook, Sterling Additional Ingredient: Licorice Root

Safeside Wheat
A classic American Wheat ale, not as yeasty as the more common Hefewiezen. A barley to wheat ratio of 60/40 make this beer a challenge to brew. Gluten makes wheat great for bread, however for beer it is difficult to not stick the mash. 
Malts: 2 Row, Munich, Wheat, and Roast. 
Hops: Centennial, two adds of Tettnanger 
OG: 1.040  TG : 1.007 :  ABV: 4.15  IBU: 12  SRM: 7 
Buzz Words: Refreshing, golden, malty

Wade’s Choice
This is a so called double IPA. First was hopped with Nugget hops. Flavored with Perle and finished with 3 adds of Chinooks. Dry hopped with Falconers Flight pellets. This is a beer for serious hop heads. Needless to say our Fearless Leader picked this beer style. Prost!

Lagdad
This is a Golden colored lightly hopped brew made to be very drinkable. Pilsner along with German Vienna and Munich malts produce the golden color. The hops give a floral spicy flavor that leads to the clean finish. Please raise a glass and toast the fall and the coming festivities. Cheers

Benny’s Pale Ale (BPA)
This is an American IPA. The golden color comes from very small additions of specialty malts. The hops lend the spicy and piney aroma. This is the perfect brew for on the way to or returning from Reser Stadium. As you might surmise this beer is named after our fearless mascot Benny. Go Beavs.
Malts: Premium Two-Row, Pilsner, Organic Rolled Oats, Victory, and Black Prinz
Hops: Chinook, Cascade, and Sterling
OG: 1.059  TG: 1.011   ABV: 6.19  IBU: 95  SRM: 6

Ballena (Buy-Yeen-Na)
This is a Russian Imperial Stout. Ballena means whale in Spanish. 42 ounce bottles of Pacifico in Baja are called Ballena’s. I consumed several these bottles while watching whales in B.C.S. My wife suggested I name a brew after these magnificent beings. Sounded like a good idea to me. A big beer like an Imperial Stout seemed to fit. Bad roads bring good people was what she said to me.

Truck 2 Stout
A tip of the Monroe brewery chapeau, to some of our unsung heroes of the kingdom. You probably have seen our trucks on the roads around the region. The drivers battle heat and cold and sometimes rainy weather conditions year round. They supply all the pubs with beer, wine, coffee, and teas. Cheers Derrick

Hammerhead
A classic Northwest pale ale. This rich chestnut colored gem is a model of harmony between hops and malted barley. Hammerhead's signature Cascade hop nose and intense hopped flavor blend nicely with the caramel tones from the crystal malt.

Terminator Stout
Black as the darkest night, rich as the most decadent dessert, Terminator is for the true stout lover. This is a full bodied and flavor packed ale which draws its robust complexity from kiln-baked specialty grains. Look for a wide array of toasted, chocolate, nutty and coffee-like flavors in every pint! The devoted swear by it, and it remains one of our top selling ales year after year.

Ruby Ale

Ruby
One of our most popular standards, we still make Ruby with the same aims we had when brewing the first batch back in March 1986: To create an ale light, crisp and refreshingly fruity. Great Western Premium 2-row and 42 pounds of Oregon-grown and processed raspberry puree is used to craft every colorful batch.

Hard Cider

Edgefield Hard Apple Cider
Locally grown apples are juiced and fermented into a light, crisp and refreshing hard cider.
ABV: 6.8%

Edgefield Blackberry Hard Apple Cider
Utilizing two iconic Northwest fruits – apples and blackberries – we have crafted this delicious new seasonal cider bringing together the crisp bite of the apple with the overt fruitiness of the blackberry.
